Where are you guys finding your LS2's? And what year are they? I was told by a diehard LS guy to go with a 05+ but I'm having trouble finding exactly what I want.

I found mine on EBAY from a company called LKQ. If you want an LS2/T56, then what you want is the 05-06 dropout from a GTO. That is exactly what I got for $6600 delivered.

I finished my turn signals last night. I figured out the pun out to make the stock switch on the column work but the switch doesn't allow much current. You would have to run the ground for a coil on a relay through the stock switch. That relay would then supply power to the blinker relay.

Or you could just run a toggle switch like I ended up doing. Much easier in the end. Then you don't need the extra relay. Just the blinker relay.

Well I've found me a ls2 dropout from a 06 GTO with 5,500 miles on it. It comes with everything except the ecu. What can I do about the ecu?

Just source it online or from a junkyard. Or you could run a stand alone and not bother with the ECU at all.

Quamen... I don't need to disable the VATS system if I run a stand alone correct?

Nope. If you run a full fuel and ignition standalone therebis no need to disable it.

Quick question: would the SIKKY kit work for an 07 z? It doesn't say on their website if it does or doesn't.

I would assume so because I believe the cross member is the same. Not sure about the sheet metal in the tunnel though as the exhaust is a bit different and there could be interference with the headers. I would give Sikky a call and see what they say.

for those of you going with the sikky wiring service, here is what i have come down to. after installing all the proper plugs to there sensors, i was left with a few more sensors, kinda wondering what goes where. (i left the maf/iat sensor out as those were pretty obvious)

crank sensor on right rear of motor (behind starter)

oil level sensor (not needed-just checks oil level and doesnt work on our cluster anyways)- and the purple starter wire. the starter wire hole is only sized to fit on the smallest threading on the back of the starter so you cant really mess it up.

reverse light sensor-front right side of the trans

these were the egr and ac wiring-uesless for this application. im choosing to leave these in case i cant get the factory z ac unit to work on this motor

more egr wiring

and the motor as it sits now. touching up a few things so it looks neat and tidy, moving the fpr, and welding my intercooler piping as well as finding a place to hide my coils. this harness is actually very simple and straight forward

I emailed them and he said I should have no problem.

Nice bbs... coming along well. I am trying to make a decision on what route to go with the wiring now. Thanks for the info on the plugs. Did SIKKY send a diagram or label the plugs at all for you?

BTW, what did you use to make the hole for the clutch line.... a screwdriver

they only labeled the 350z ac (which i asked them to keep) fan high and fan low, no diagram or anything. the harness was pretty self explanatory once it was placed on the engine. the factory injector clips are all labeled on the clip themselves, its not a rat nest like the factory z harness!

and that hole... my girlfriend used her nails i was out of tools, and time so i used a drill and some pliers lol. its getting smoothed out and a proper grommet in there eventually
