Going to highlight a couple of things.. (in RED)

so far:

ls2 motor (0 miles) - $8,900 after tax and shipping

You probably could get one cheaper, I have seen them go for around $5300

Stage 4 clutch & aluminum flywheel - $1,500 including tax and a smidgen in labor (motor and tranny is already off)

Driveline - included in conversion kit?

LS2 swap kit - $1,900 including tax / where can i get this kit? i looked up Sikky but have heard too many bad things about it to be excited and committed to them.

I don't know where you saw a kit for $1,900, but that is wrong.. Estimate around 3k and that is with longtube headers. Look up Sikky as I feel that is our best option

Axles - what do i get?? lol

Look up Drive Shaft Shop, they have three levels you can choose from.. good stuff..

selling current motor, tranny, & full exhaust for - $3,500

I don't think you will get 3k for your motor but you can try..

Exhaust - is this something that needs to be custom made?? Where do i buy and for how much? How about an H pipe?

custom make your exhaust,

Headers - ?????? ebay maybe?

No headers on Ebay please

ECU harness - How much will this run? Over estimate please.

Go ahead and just estimate around 12k to 15k of back..

i figure $8,909 before the above blanks in price quotes and selling my current motor/tranny/full exhaust system. HELP !!!!

I hope this helps some...

Oh the main reason not right now (well soon I will need it) is cause I have other stuff to do in the bay before I can start installing the motor completely..

But if it is not here in a months time, I will ***** for sure..

i believe i read something on the sikky swap thread that the different t56 variations need different length shifters. Sikky asked one guy to send him measurements to guarentee the right shifter

I do remember there was specific versions of the T56 that the shifter fit.

harness almost complete, compliments of Justin@QFab Motorsports!!! sneak peek! almost everything is completely hidden, especially with the bov sitting between the throttle body and ps pump, it looks way better and the soldering and craftsmanship is top notch!!

WOW... super clean. I love it!!

BTW, heard from the tuner and my stock T56 out of the GTO works just fine with the SIKKY shifter, no clearance issues or such.

just got off the phone with sikky actually. what it is is because my trans is an t56 from a camaro ss, i would need to buy the gto trans rail end which is a bit longer so the trans will be positioned correctly when in gear. kinda a pain in the ***, seeing as alot of people will be using the ls1 trans, as opposed to the ls2 setup, but thats the name of the game. anywho, cheapest ive found was $87 for it and it is #17 in this picture

Is this how other are installing the Sikky PS kit? Seems like it would get mighty hot from the header.

...and the fuel system is nearly done!

^thanks royal, also guys check out some ls1tech.com info, alot of guys are getting pressure drops on fast shifts from 3-4, and as stated earlier by fafanfoe and his ls swapped g, he swapped out lines. so i decided while my trans was out, id do that too. the ls solution to that is to drill out the restrictor to 1/8th inch and problem solved. now sikky supplied the lines with the factory size restrictor in the banjo hose end, and getting that drilled out wasnt feasible without taking the hose end off. heres my solution, and it cost me under $50

i grabbed a 42" (slightly bigger than required but i like slack and help tuck it) -3 line with both female ends and was going to drill them out to 1/8th. as per the ls drill mod, however the parts i got from pegasusracing were already 1/8th, fancy that. and also grabbed a -3 m10 (10mm) banjo bolt which was also 1/8th inch. cool. heres the list and website to the parts.

https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/is...asp?RecID=9023 (put in 42 inches and select end a and end b on the first picture which is -3 straight female ends)

and the banjo bolt

https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...asp?RecID=4195

heres a comparison of the sikky banjo and the pegasus banjo (excuse the shitty cameraphone pic) take note of the feed holes size difference

this is the size sikky should use. best part, it bolts right up and while the banjo piece itself is bigger, the bolthole is the same size. no more pressure drop. sweet.

alas, i went to gm dealer, they quoted me at 129 for the gto shifter piece. i showed him a price i got online of $87 and they took 20% off so it came to 103 and i gotta wait a few days. also for you turbo guys, i took my oil feed from a port in the ls block in front of the driver side flywheel dust cover. there are more ports around the block bu this one is post filter, the others are pre filter, so i figure why not run filtered oil to this turbo lol. i will eventually get a different remote oil filter w/ a feed line from there but for now this will suffice.

Not sure if this is an LS1 vs LS2 issue, but my alternator is below the PS pump, not the way its shown in your pic. Also, my PS pump mounts with the line on the top at the drivers side.

alas, i have pretty much everything ready to go, however, swap guys need to check the sides of there block for the factory ls dipstick hole and make sure its plugged. i am en route to get this plug (its a freeze plug of some sort is my understanding) and has to be plugged, as our oil pan has the provision for the sikky dipstick. heres the gm part number 12557520

Hmmm I thought my Sikky kit came with a brass plug for that. it was an allan screw in plug if I remember correctly. May want to check with them to verify...or correct my misguided ways But hey if it came with instructions we'd all know!

^definitely not. this hole has no threads lol. also making an ecu mount for my gm ecu. its going to sit next to the z ecu and be able to completely access it extremely simply for any datalogging, etc.

Correct. LS1 T56(found in Fbody) has a longer 1st-3rd where as the MN12 out of the LS2 gto has a very short 1st-3rd..which is good for stock power but once you get up there in power you are better off with the longer 1st-3rd. (ask me how I know). Also the shifter position is different on the GTO than on the Fbody transmissions.

I don't know about that one. I saw another build thread were Sikky included that plug. I think I will give them a ring to see.

Here's a sneak peak at a shifter housing I've designed. Here's a pic from SolidWorks:

It is for the T56 Magnum and will uses the guts from the sikky shifter if you've already purchased it. Sorry for the cell pic:

There's a still a little more work to be done but I got all gigidy when I saw it today.
