Also to comment on the Sikky thing.. They have just upgraded there shifter, oil pan and some other things.. In my opinion I feel sikky is a way better product then FR.. But hey I am bias..lol
I cant speak for quality as i never seen one in person, it does look top notch. My concern is their engine placement, the shifter and the front sumped oil pan dont appeal to me.

I wanted big room up front for a front facing turbo set up, this is as far as i could go without relocating the stock firewall. Worked out really well, even with the accessories bolted on the entire engine sits behind the strut towers. Got rid of the boat anchor of a crossmember and the heavy motor mounts( using a front and mid motor plate which weighs 7lbs each) i wonder what the weight bias will be now... And best of all, no shifter extender.

No im still keeping the IRS. A2W yes , but i would do a2w even if it was a full time streetcar.

I might do a build thread for the same of documenting the build. If anyone here is into chassis tuning keep an eye out because there will be lots of interesting stuff going on here!

Goal is 8.5s in a clutch car

Just because it is a drag car doesn't mean it can't be a street car, look at drag week!

sure, motor is a aluminum 5.3 out of a silverado.
wiseco .030 over (331ci)
callies rods
hydraulic cam
girdle
doweled mains
wet sump

top end
as cast trickflow 225s
single port intake, super vic
edelbrock big elbow ( changed directions and will be selling the Aarons intake on the pic)
alternator only
electric water pump ,radiator mounted

elbow faces firewall.
t4 80mm borg 96/1.10ar
60mm wg
bubba bov
3000hp a2w intercooler hidden in dash( garret cores ,im building it)
full dash and door panels
some inexpensive gauges
holley dominator efi
e98 fuel

chassis will have a true 8.50 cert cage
added knee bar ,will tie into engine mid plate.
no crossmember, no front sway bar, no motor mounts , no travel limiters.
still undecided if i will just loop the power steering rack or try to retro fit a manual rack somehow.
front end will be as bare as possible as im trying to move as much weight to the center and rear as i can. At this point im entertaining the idea of a rear mounted radiator, not sure if its worth the trouble, would surely give me a reason to remove the entire rear end of the chassis tho lol. Anyway, no fancy tubular front end, just whats needed to hold bumper and fenders in place.
shroud single chute
rear mounted fuel cell and water tank combo.

as for suspension its the most interesting part for me. Chassis tuning its what will really make the car come alive.I need the entire car ready and running, than ill put it up on the scales fully wet with me in it. qa1 springs and shocks will be chosen accordingly. a-arms in front to bring alignment back to spec, in the rear some spl arms and solid bushings throughout.
driveshft shop axles
stock pumpkin diff with braces
modified nissan driveshaft with strange billet yokes ( product of my ventures with the engine placement lol)

welds
15x10 and 17x3.5

tranny is a tick unit, stage 5 with some custom add ons,

the current clutch records are a foxbody in the 8.6S and a fbody in the 8.5s.
both have t56s and solid axles.
the plan is to compete with both.

and alottt of seat time.

You are going all out with suspension, I am excited to see this come together, if you make a thread, I will be watching, I would expect something like this on yellowbullet

Unfortunately theres no drag racing support for our chassis, so necessity is the mother of invention.

I tend to lay low and watch what others are building, my only motive for a build thread is to document it. This was my first sports car, ive owned it since 04, met my wife in it, I intend to save this car for my boy when hes of age, otherwise i would have gone with a different chassis.

I traded my 350z for a family car when I got married, I bought a roller FD, but didn't have the funds to invest in it to make it what I wanted, so I sold it, and now I am just laying low waiting for funds to be right to jump back in

Yah i hear you, i was able to keep mine. I started collecting parts since 2011, ive had 2 kids, new business, bought my first place, and now we are looking at adopting a 3rd and 4th. So the project gets bumped up everytime.

Have you thought about a mild turbo setup for that hemi?? Twin 55s or even a single 72 would be sweet!! Even at low boost it would make some decent power, you might even pick up some mpg lol

Don't tease me... I would love to throw some boost on it... Unfortunately the ring lands give way around 550 hp and the driveline has weaknesses at that level too. I am getting a custom tune done on it now and will likely be around 440rwhp. But like I said, boost would be awesome

440? Thats not bad at all, what have you done to it?

550 on a completely stock base is awesome! Comfortable cruiser man. I love fabbing setups like that. I did a little budget build for a friend, a sn95 4.6 modular motor. Complete junk car, he drives it to work lol. 67mm turbo blowthru setup. Little thing came alive and we were like two teenage girls gigling on the highway lol . He never dynoed it and it died a year later i think.

Nearly stock 6.4, just an intake, removed the rear mufflers, and slapped on a tuner, it is a lot of fun for a daily

I will be helping a friend fab up a single turbo for his 85 c10 with an iron block 6.0 in the coming year. It will be a lot of fun aswell
