The Official LS Swap Info/Questions Thread
Hey guys, is there a reason no one has used or made an adapter for the CD009 transmission to LS engine? I see a lot of KA to CD009, even 2JZ to CD009 adapters. I know the T56 is the standard trans, but if you're doing an LS swap in 350 or G35, you already have a CD transmission. It seems that the CD would even be a cost effective option for RX7 swappers, as they are plentiful, and much cheaper than a T56.

Has anyone thought about using the atomic efi to make the wiring a little easier and self tuning for the ls engine's
I want to do the swap my self but it seems like the wiring is a big pain in the *** still.

Here is a link to some great AC info. I plan to hook mine up when everything else is said and done.

Question for the guys keeping the VQ ECU for the water temp gauge to work.
Did you remove the engine harness completely and run a wire from the sensor directly to the ECU pin? Or does the ECU need the engine harness to power up/ground?
Anyone?
I removed the engine harness completely. And found this ECU pinout. I'm thinking about connecting the power/grounds and connect the water temp sensor directly to the pin.

So I'm tossing the idea around of converting to the dark side of Z motors. The swap kit Is easy, probably Fueled Racing, but without going thru pages and pages, what are people doing for eng management ?
The most common is one of thew following:
1. LS1/2/3 pullout with harness and pcm
2. LSX with a custom harness (chase bays, jordan innovation etc.) and a PCM
3. LS3 EROD setup
Most of the engine managment stuff (tune, VATS removal, VIN change) is done by HPTuners at home or at a tuning shop

So I have seen people mention it briefly, but no conclusive answers or results on this... Is there a way to keep A/C functioning like oem with these swaps? and is it possible to pass emissions?
thanks. I guess I will have to try and find how they got the a/c working properly. Im guessing using a full LS harness and ecu its possible to pass emissions and have them plug into the obd2 port for the ls ecu?
