Just a quick update, I haven't done much on the car. I have been busy working and waiting for small little parts to come in. I am hoping to get some stuff done this weekend.
I am getting the car together to bring it to spectrum motor sports solutions. They are the guys building my turbo, they will be doing the inter cooler piping all the mounting brackets exhaust etc...
Anything related to welding, hoping to have the car in there within the next month or so.
Flex fuel and lines installed, just need to run a line from the fpr to the rail and mount it.
after much thought and advice from the tuner I routed the fuel lines on the drivers side. I couldn't find a good way to run it without it being close to the exhaust.
Fuel lines are done pressure regulator mounted now I just need to go over and tighten it all up and check for leaks
on another note I attempted to bleed the clutch out with my friend and its fully bleed but the pedal has no pressure until the half way point(feels lose). Now I don't know if it's because i switched to the 2006 fork or because of the collins extended throw out bearing sleeve. so maybe its just a pedal adjustment ?
I also ran into a possible issue my wiring specialties harness. It only has a temperature sensor for the oem toyota coolant sensor. In the instructions it says there's a secondary coolant sensor that needs to be installed, along side the oem toyota one.
Now I have the sensor but there's no wires or plug for it...... I am waiting to hear back from wiring specialities to see if maybe my application is different due to standalone or maybe they screwed up. I will let you guys know as soon as I hear back from them.
I would figure out what the second coolant temp sensor does as it relates to your tune. If its not needed just plug it off, if it is needed can you feed both inputs from the single sensor?
I would imagine it's not critical and is used during warm-up to give the ECU some data on the ECT differences on an OEM-Toyota ECU. The Link can probably delete this function. You may want to contact Link and ask them for guidance. I've found their customer service top-notch.

The extra coolant sensor is so the factory gauge and cooling fans work with the can bus system as the spal fans will run off the factory wiring loom. It is part of the full function of box that wiring specialties devoloped for the 350z. It is needed to use the main dash and to have all gauges working and alerts on the dash off. So it's kind of important
Knock sensor(mine have the wrong connector on it)
16mm by 1.5 fitting to 1/8bspt for the 350z oil sensor
3/8 check valve for the brake booster
I will be getting the turbo this week.
Hopefully I can finish up the stuff I need to do in the car so I can send it to spectrum motor sports solutions. I have just been really busy.
Some stuff that needs to be wrapped up before I take the car in
Interior (seats removed and a few panels)
Remount my subwoofer
Mount the ECU
Run the brake booster line
Tighten up the fuel system
Put engine and transmission fluid in the car
Mount the radiator ac condenser
Put the front end back together
Install the power cables for starter/alternator
Change the starter plug on my wiring harness(old style to new style).
Adjust the clutch pedal
Remove the factory exhaust
I also need to order some spal fans so he knows how much room he has to work with
when I refilled my trans fluid back in (I usually do this with heavier weight oils) I put them in a big chili pot (that I retired and no longer cook with - but can hold 3 or 4 quarts of trans fluid) filled with water on the lowest setting on my stove. The fluid flow much much better when it warm/hot.
Well I got the knock sensors, the inner diameter is 8mm 2jz knock sensor is 16mm. I ordered some knock sensor adapters off a 2zz engine, apparently it's a m16 bolt with a m8 stud on the end.
Also working on mounting the ECU(using the oem heat sink from the 350z ecu lol)
Remounted my sub
reinstalled the seat and a lot of interior peices
Adjusted the clutch pedal
Removed the majority of the exhaust
Power cables installed
Front end partly assembled
The car is going into spectrum motor sports solutions in 2 weeks for the fabrication
The exhaust
Down pipe
Manifold
Inter cooler mounting and piping
Oil cooler bracket
Modify radiator outlet
Modify the 1jz water neck
And possibly a front bash bar knock sensor adapter Here's a preview of some of his work ( NOT MINE )
Mounted the ecu to the factory heat sink/computer base installed the factory 350z oil pressure sensor it was super tight had to grind a bit off the ac to fit it
That oil pressure sensor fitment was tight had to grind a bit off the ac compressor to get it to fit
