Default Airbag light

Removed the passenger side seat and installed it back. Now I have an airbag light that stays on. Is this related? Could I have instalkled something wrong?
I also removed the center console. Could this be the problem.

I was installing stereo equipment.

Thanks

Yeah, I'was trying to reset the ECU with the manual procedure, but, after trying 4 times decided to just pull the battery cable off and let it sit for the 12 hours. I could not get the manual procedure to work.

OK, I couldn't wait till tomorrow so I plugged the battery back on. The engine light is cleared. The air bag light, however, is not. Anyone know the trick?

My Z is in the dealership now. They are installing Nismo clutch/flywheel and asked them to run some test. (86 dollars for the test!!!!) After I explained about air bag, they asked me if I upgrade audio system and I did install valentine One. They belive that run the test and reset Airbag computer. I will let you kow if it turns off or not.

bring your car to the dealer. They just tight up all the connection and you'll be fine. Got the same problem last week. Dealer took care of it.

Did either of you guys disconnect the battery before working on your cars? That seems to be a common problem in that if you disconnect some systems while power is still on at the ECU, then you will get a CEL thrown once you hook the systems back up.

Problem is that even if you disconnect the battery, you are gonna want to try your system out before you put everything back together so the light will go on anyway. Right?

here is the procedure..

ign off to ign on (ACC) wait 7 secs.. within 1 sec of the airbag light flashing turn off ign

wait at least 3 secs.. then repeat the above 3 more times (total of 3 or 4 times).

then just turn on and the airbag light will no longer flash
