3) The hood is not on the car, a nice high quality oem hood is on the car now, so why am I going to put his crappy hood back on to snap pictures, are you kidding me...?

1. So your saying your bodyshop is not telling the truth? Perhaps theres been an accident you were not aware of.

2. Why no photos when you put it on the car to show it fitted badly.

3. How else can you prove there is a problem??

Perhaps you prefer the OEM and want out of the seibon.

I think you need to relax about the pm's. Anyone I sent a pm to was being a ***** and deserved it. I called no one a name who didn't make a rude comment toward me first. What I am asking them to do is simply stay away from my post, since they are not helping the situation only making it worse..

I am trying to make a point with a vendor jerking my chain and everyone has to give me their 2 cents. This is not here for that but rather a warning for people to be more informed about Jim and his business practices before dealing with him. Obviously your going to side with your site "sponsor" because he pays you to advertise on the site.

He is wrong and will lose...
And my PM back to you:

Don't assume what you don't know. It only makes your stance look less valuable.

I do not site with Jim, nor any other vendor. We have banned and stripped away many vendor's status, due to their incompetence.

What I have read that was posted, I don't care if they were being a ***** or not. They did not cross the line. Your PM's did. Again I'm letting you know...one more, and you're gone.

I'm a sales manager of a bike shop and I deal with warranty stuff all the time. What Carbon LTD is doing is just procedure. It's not his fault that the hood doesn't fit but the manufacturer. It's not like he opens up and test fits every single hood he gets. Warranty procedures do tka e a long time no matter what industry you're in.

Nitrouz, you need to take a look at some of the other comments in this post as well.... I'll be nice if they are nice... so treat everyone the same..

My oem hood fit right on with no adjusment, four bolts and it snaped right in place... Seibon hood was messed with for hours and wouldn't line up, latch, or clear the strut bar... I'm done arguing about it with people that don't know anythign about the situation.. I am not putting the hood back on to take pics... I'm done with it... I am not paying for the hood, come get your crap Jim.

Of course your OEM hood would fit with no issues. Are you kidding me? Who would expect anything less from the MANUFACTURER of the car. When it comes to aftermarket, especially replicas, then it's a crap shoot.

So you are going to keep the hood AND try to get the money back. That sounds like credit card fraud you just admitted to. What BS story are you going to tell the CC company? I bet that if Jim fights the credit, parts of this thread will come into play . Game over for you.

way 2 kill the messenger. so seibon forwards him products, and a customer isnt satisfied. and its his fault how??? so him selling a product that he himself doesnt make i guess puts him at risk, but nobody understands that HE IS THE MIDDLEMAN!

Middleman or not he needs to stand behind what he sells... the hood is crap, he needs to take it back and issue a refund.

EVERYONE understands that he is the middleman, the fact that he did or didn't make the product is irrelavant, ultimately he sold the product. Middleman or Manufacturer the person selling the product MUST stand behind the product being sold in order to earn my buisness. I couldn't give 2 turds and a handshake if he made the part, re-sold the part, paid a 6 year old illegal immigrant slave laborer to make it in his shed in the desert, I DON'T CARE. Being the middleman is not an excuse, it's a game of risk vs. reward just like everything else.
The risk: dealing with vendor issues and being the middleman when the product comes back as well as when it goes out.
The reward: whatever the difference in price between what the customer pays him and his cost to get the part to the customer.

This is buisness 101, and maybe Jim is a nice guy, and frankly I'm sure he is a nice enough guy, but I don't buy nice, I can't put nice on my car, and when people look at my car they aren't going to say "wow I bet you got that part from a nice guy". If Jim isn't going to stand behind the product HE SELLS, then that is a buisness practice I can't support.

Been said before and I'll say it again, I think the OP is a bit of a whiner. Pics are not at all unreasonable, and should have been provided while starting communication with the vendor. If pics were not taken while the problem was present, then it is the responsibility of the customer to replicate the problem that precipitated the issue in the first place.

Once again there is no right or wrong party here, both parties are wrong, just to different degrees and in different ways.

Good luck getting a refund man. Because I wouldnt give you one. In his Terms and Conditions, it clearly states that all sales are final unless deemed defective. You arent willing to prove it so why in hell would he issue a refund?

Thanks, I actually forwarded it along to paypal and his CC company right after I saw it, so they've been watching it this whole time. Man, I hope this doesn't take 3 months to get the hold removed !

I thought the only way paypal would issue a refund for anything is for non receipt? or is that only for ebay auctions or something?
