the best way replacing an emblem is...?
hello...i searched for this but only came up with "Where do I get these emblems..." and Selling Emblem posts
My question is: What is the best way to replace the stock 350z emblem and the Nissan Emblem without scratching/damaging the car. I tried using google and other search engines and they gave me answers that require a screw driver, and I don't plan on using that = /
Also What is the best way to put an emblem on?
Thanks in advance

I'm not for-sure positive on this method,.... but I have read somewhere on this site that if you use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat up the emblem, then you can use fishing line with both hands and pull down slicing thru the glue that you have heated up.
I would test this out on something besides your car first.
Good luck !

Yeah i was just talking to my friend about it and he said to use a hair dryer and just use floss or something. but hey Jay'Z when you used a screw driver it didn't scratch up the paint or anything? and was this for the 350z emblem or the nissan?

Heat first and try to pull up with steady pressure with your finger nails or with a plastic putty knife. If that doesn't work use the 15lbs fishing line and pull evenly through it. If it's still not coming up, saw slowly and easily with the fishing line. That's what I had to do. Clean off glue residue with lighter fluid. Then clean lighter fluid off with windex or soapy water because the lighter fluid may dull your finish. Lighter fluid is safer than go gone that a lot of folks use and it's cheaper too.

no need hair dryer. just leave your car in the sun at midday. and your car should be hot enough to slice through the glue with regular floss (don't have fishing line). and then goo gone or something similar. once the goo gone soaks through the adhesive you should have a pretty easy time rolling the adhesive off with your thumb (don't try to scratch it off with fingernail).
