Question Question about Nav Cubbies (not the usual)

Ok so I did a search and could not come up with what I was looking for however I did find this and thought it would help.
First off I have a 2005 350z touring with out navi.
What I am wanting to do is hopefully get the 2007 center nav piece with no door and put an aftermarket nav in there.
My question is does anyone know if the 2007 center cubby dash piece will fit into the 05?

This is all I found in my search.

Here's a summary:

2003:
Non-Nav: manual and retracts into dash
Nav: manual and retracts into dash

2004-2005:
Non-Nav: manual and flips up
Nav: powered and retracts into dash

2006-2007 (new dash style):
Non-Nav: manual and flips up
Nav: No nav cover at all*

*I believe some early 2006 models had powered and retractable covers like the 04 and 05 Nav models, but they discontinued them for some reason

Nissan redesigned the entire waterfall IP for the '06-08 models. None of the trim pieces (including 2-DIN headunit or cubby) have the correct dimensions to fit from an '03-05 to an '06-08 IP.In order the refit your '05 with an '06-08 cubby, you'd need the entire center stack- including the console and plastic trim areas around it. This kind of interior swap was detailed in a past issue of Nissan Sport Magazine with the 350Z street project.

A much more cost-effective route would be to simply remove, or modify your existing cubby and spend time and $$ on mounting the nav unit.
