Need some help with tail lights
Whats up guys. I just got a set of the "oem style" tail lights off of ebay (i know i know, but whats done is done). I have an 06 z and the tail lights say that it fits the 03 to 06z. However the plugs dont seem to fit at all and I see no way they can work. If anyone has installed aftermarket tail lights on their 06 and up please help me out.
Here are some pics. The first one is what the after market tail light needs to plug into and the other two are the tail light's plug from two views.
thanks in advance.

Are the eBay lights also LED? The 2006 had LED, correct?
Provided it will work once connected, then your problem is in making that
connection. More aptly put, in connecting two incompatible male/female connections.
You can either salvage the required male plug from your OEM lights (That I'd like to buy
if they are LED) or you can find a salvage yard unit to remove the plugs from or you can
abandon the OEM end of the harness as well as the end on the eBay lights and use your
own set of male/female plugs.
This would require soldering and cutting the OEM wires. Not the route I would take.
PM me if you want to unload those OEM lights, provided they are LED.

I dont think you guys want to battle over one perfect oem LED light lol. The reason why I replaced them is because someone hit the driver side one and cracked it. Thanks for the info though Zenica.

Those are LEDs, there are no bulbs per say. You can't plug it the way it is now, you have to use your brain and a multimeter and figure out what is ground , what is running light 12v and what is brake light 12v. From there I would suggest you cut the female end off your broken tail light and the oem non-damaged one and also cut out the plugs from the new taillights and retrofit the connectors to make it look oem, or solder the wires individually after you cut the connectors out. Since money is an issue ( I'm assuming this was the case, or else why didn't you buy an oem set) your best bet is to find someone that can guide you through the process of cutting the wires and making a good connection. If you had the knowledge to do such thing this thread would not excist, so I am assuming you lack said knowledge therefore advising you to have someone with experience handle this.
dude. This is simple. You know how you take out the light bulb on your oem lights. Take the bulb out by twisting the socket out of the taillight. Then take the bulb out and then put that wire from the eBay lights where the bulb was. simple
^ well you douche bagged someone lol. And yes money is an issue, because unfortunately I can take care of my car but some *******s just hit my light and cracked it. Now I dont have the money to spend on oem ones right now but I also dont want a ticket, hence the situation im in now. And prone, my brother can do what you said for me, I just feel that if it was advertised as 03-06 I shouldnt be doing this. Thanks for the help guys.
I didn't mean to come off sounding like a d**k, I just don't want you to get into a bigger mess than you are already in because you didn't do it right the first time. I totally understand where you are coming from, ebay stuff is not the best stuff out there and I guess whoever sold them to you didn't know the difference between 03-05 lights and 06+ lights. Hopefully your brother will help you on this. Good luck.
