I love this hatch, but I definitely am not a body work guy, so it sounds like that automatically puts me out of the running for even messing with this thing. From reading is it still Boomer who is the sole distributer of all of these?

Boomer is the owner/manufacture of ALL Mastergrade products. There is a company who replicated the hatch under "Key Composites Group", although their parts are hand laid quality is still better then Boomer shoddy products.

The only thing Boomer can make right is the TS rear diffuser, and even then your lucky if he send all the hardware or side vortexs.

I just got an e-mail from Paypal saying a customer from APRIL 4,th 2009 filed a dispute because Boomer STILL has yet to send the customer his Infiniti G37 MG trunk...Boomer is UNBELIEVABLE it's been 6 months !!

Damn I guess I can kiss my dreams of having this hatch on my car goodbye, doesn't sound worth the headaches or the emptiness in the pocket.

My MG hatch looks fine, I guess I got lucky with it. I would just have the body shop reclear the entire thing.

I was told that they would have to grind down the spot on the hatch with all of the cracks and couldn't guarantee me that it would like right afterwards because of how much clear they have to remove. The only surefire way to fix it would be to grind down the cracked clear coat, fill the damaged area and paint it.

Try having them sand it down then reclear and it should be fine. If its shitty, paint or sell. I have been telling u this since page 1 Sir.

I empathize with you but complaining on here is going on deaf ears! Come on, what has he actually done?? That is like me crying to Scott Bush of Relentless Scammers he didn't give me 500whp with 500cc injectors and welded pistons. It doesn't matter because he isnt a vendor to sell here. I'd be complaining on deaf ears too!

Your other option is buy a new hatch from AutoInfantry or Driveline and sell the damaged ****.

You could have done this a while ago stop letting people string you along on false hope. Make it happen yourself and do a chargeback on that bastard. The End.

Mine fits a lot better than that - though not like OEM but that's expected. It has an ever-so-slight lift on the left but still seals a lot better than yours. I would say if the OEM is 100% then my mastergrade is at least 100% on the left and 95% fitment on the right by the bumper where it lifts very slightly. But I think that might also because I got the first few runs of it.

Pics of the left: 100%

Right side has a very slight lift but only at the end where it touches the bumper - if you look closely you can see

But it's flawless for the most part:

Alvin, your car looks great, it's like a work of art!

Jay, I'm sorry but if you think I'm going to settle for being ripped off you are mistaken. I have far more patience and persistence then to simply give up. I will get what I paid for. I haven't posted in here for a while, only in response to others comments. I'm still waiting on Boomer to make this right in one way or another.

Why do you insist that I give up so easily?

Alvin you are 100% correct in that it was one of the first few hatches sold. I remember selling that hatch to Vince, he bought it defective because he planned on painting. Fitment then was 200000x better then they are now. That mold should've been replaced atleast a year ago.

Your totally misunderstanding me Chris Nelson, I am saying to complete your car. I know what it is like to not have a car for months and have it sitting on jack stands waiting on a hatch. I was only saying you should complete the car. You dont have to give up, but I was saying BOOMER isnt going to reply on here. Also, if he hasnt cared to rectify the situation by now he wont give two ****s if you keep posting here for years to come.

I ended up just throwing the OEM damaged hatch on my car for the time being. This way my car is in my hands and I'm driving it again. But I'm not done with this situation.

Update on my situation with this shitty company, despite being told my money was going to be deposited weeks ago I still have yet to see a dime. My e-mails have once again gone ignored and phone call unanswered.

Anyone willing to support a company like this deserves what they get. I don't care who you order it through, you are supporting a scamming company by purchasing their parts either directly or through their friends at other shops.

Can not wait to get my Asuka style hatch from KCG!

As it stands I think KCG is our only hope for fitment sake.

Sad to hear people continue to suffer due to boomer. When I bought my hatch from him, it only cost me 500 + paint so I don't know why you paid near or over 1G.

Anyway, the whole operation there is shady. I dropped off my car at his shop where we agreed this would take 3 days to paint my hatch and mount it on the Z. It took him 10 days to finish my Z. The end result was OK. The fitment was just OK. The paint was less than OK but that is what you get when you fucakk around with replicas. The worst thing about boomer and his shop is, the whole time I was there at his shop they had radio blasting Christianity talks in all directions, lol

I'd never ever in my lifetime would go back to boomer and buy any of his crap.

If I went back and counted the different messages I have traded with Boomer back and forth you'd see around 20 "promises" from Boomer to deliver. Time and time again he makes the claim and time and time again nothing happens.

In an effort to keep this thread up to date until some resolution happens I'll post the latest quote from Mr. Boomer of Mastergrade:

Sorry I haven't been on my emails or facebook, I will do my best to
have the hatch out this Thursday. I will email u Thursday morning.
