Default 06+ Headlights, Wierd Question.

Okay so there's a guy who's somewhat local who's selling a pair of 06+ lights. The thing is... He converted them to non-HID. He's selling at a cheap price so I was wondering if its possible to convert them back to HID.

I have an 04 HID capable 350z. I've been looking into 06+ headlights for a long time and this may be my chance to finally do it.

Here's the ad, you guys can take a look at what he wrote:
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...216043088.html

But do you think its possible to easily get them back to HID without major difficulty? Or is this a bad idea?
Thanks

He converted them to non-HID? He spent time (and money) to obtain a worse-performing product? I are confused.

Yeah +1. Read the ad again. He only re-wired them to fit non-HID cars. But they are still "OEM HID"

Sooo..that means they are complete OEM HID headlights that will plug into the existing wires on a non-HID equipped car? I mean it seems possible - as far as the wires know, wattage is wattage.

Okay.. my bad guys, i assumed thats what it meant. So he said all i have to do is switch the wiring harness and it should be plug and play.

Now im a total moron on how the headlights effectively are put together as a system, (i know how headlights work, i just dont fully understand all the parts and how each connects to one another, like how or where the ballast connects to the wiring harness etc) Ive tried to do research on it, and its kind of hard to get the idea without pictures of the parts that everyones talking about.

So if i get these and all i have to do is rewire the wiring harness? No need to buy an Hid kit i can just use the oem parts that are on my car right now? Or do i need to buy a new wiring harness?

And would rewiring these be difficult? again im not the brightest when it comes to electricals.

Thanks guys.

Just rewire everything that was switched by the original owner so it'll fit your factory hid harness. Even if you end up having to splice or cut the harness, everything is color coded so it shouldn't be too difficult. Then it should become a simple plug and play. here are some threads that might help:

Cheers, oh one last question. Are there any distinguishing marks/features/labels/words/signs on the actual oem 2006 nissan bi-xenon headlights that distinguish them from crappy ebay lights?

I mean i think I'm getting a super deal if these are genuine nissan, but if they're ebay lights its a rip, especially since I didn't want to do the upgrade, I just happened upon the deal. And craigslist isn't the safest place to buy genuine products.
