Default Purchase advice 06 tail lights

Hey everyone, hopefully I'm posting in the right section. The story is someone I know is selling the 06 LED tail lights for $150. The thing is, he cut the connectors off. Is it seem worth it to buy it without the connectors? I know its a easy DIY from what I've seen from when I searched, but those already had connectors. Would taking the connectors off my current 05 lights and soldering them onto the 06 work? Or just stay away and wait for one in the marketplace? Thanks

Since the lights are plug n play between all years I would think so, but dont quote me. Great deal on the lights though, I paid $400... worth looking into further.

I can't tell if your friend cutout the entire harness or just to connection to his car.

Can you try to get closer photos with more light? so we can confirm

Ummmm. Do you know wiring? You'll have to hard wire
Them to the car. As big of a discount as you'll get on these...

Just wire them up and you should be fine. Either snip the other connectors off or just splice into the wire behind the connector.

Ghetto wiring required. Is that what you want for your car?

@DavidV. No sir haha As for the pictures, I can look into getting more. Wasn't really shopping for them, kinda came across the deal, so not like I have to get them. But it was a planning to down the road.As the actual work not really worried, I work for an automotive supplier, and building harness's is a common job I'm required to do. Guess I need to do some research on finding the connectors before I decide to pull trigger. Thanks for the input guys! And if anyone knows of some mech drawings or what the connectors are, that would save me some time. Thanks!

I dont think its ghetto. Its 3 wires. Just make sure to buy correct connectors and you'll be fine. Ghetto-rigging would be to connect w electrical tape only. They are way better than the non-leds. Made a difference to me. You'll like them.

you can easily use standard crimp on bullet connectors.
They are all over my car.
My electrical work is far from ghetto.
MECP certified.
Buy them OP, its super cheap. Great deal. The lenses can be cut buffed and even re-cleared easily as well if scuffed or scratched.

Thanks Sluggo. I found it already and installed them. Now im trying to find out if it's supposed to be on all the time. Like if you hit the brakes, your tailights get brighter, mine is always that bright. Is this normal for a 03-05 to 06+ taillight swap?

you'll have to retrace your wiring and redo it. your running the brake lights as a constant current which shouldn't be.

Taking the taillights out without breaking the pegs is a bit*ch!
