Headlight adjustment Spyder Auto projector HID lights
Hi all,
I recently bought a 2003 350Z which came with a set of Spyder Auto chrome DRL HID projector headlights.
Amazon.com: Spyder Auto (PRO-YD-N350Z02-HID-DRL-C) Nissan 350Z Chrome Xenon/HID Projector Headlight with LED Daytime Running Light: Automotive
Whoever installed them did a crap job of adjusting them. They are way too high - I'm sure that I am blinding oncoming traffic and I can't see squat on the road.
The adjusters look like this though (view from the top). From reading the manual the OEM headlights adjust from the top, with a long screwdriver. I see no way to adjust these that way.
Does anybody have any experience with these?

dkmura, why is Spyder to be avoided? I would have preferred the stock lights but they seem to fit ok. Looks wise they are not bad.

Their taillights are tacky and cheaply built, pure and simple. The headlights look to be more of the same, although they look a bit better. Most of us prefer the OEM versions, particularly the '06-08 models.
Well I do agree that the OEMs are better. Wish whoever changed mine had sold the originals with it.
The tails are kinda tacky too. Not OEM, but a multi LED thing. Once I sort out the other stuff wrong with it (wheel bearing, clutch, broken outside passenger door handle, paint, CEL and airbag light.....) then heads and tails are next.

My Z is valued at Us$27k, I got it for $19k. There are fewer than 10 here and because of the age there will likely never be any more.
Thanks, but there are two screws in the pic. The brighter one pointing towards the camera, and below it to the right a dirty gray one that's horizontal. Neither has any visible way to engage a driver whether screw, nut, Allen or spline.
. Whenever I go to Canada I carry along a couple bottles of XO for my friends in Halifax.
