Beautiful site man. How do those KDWs work out for the car? Considering those. Definately want to see some pics of the exhaust... looking at getting a single now.

Wow Roads are dry, its in the high 40's almost 50's and with the 19's on(285 out back) I Was spinning in 2nd gear when boost hit. I left VDC on as I did not want to get sideways with it just yet, so it would be boost then VDC kicks in. On 1 run I turned VDC off and I got a hesitation at about 4000rpm-MIA does the ecu still pull timing after the reflash? It was a VDC like hesitation but it was off, maybe it was just the KDW's starting to spin and then caught traction. I did run through 2nd easing into it, and 3rd and some of 4th, it is just nasty My A/F's up top were in the high 11's to about 6200rpm's. I thought I heard a little detonating on the 3rd gear run at about 11.8 a/f and 5500rpm's, my friend thought it was just the sound of the turbo spooling and wind. Anyways, I would boost much happier if my a/f's were richer about 1 point, I dont like it being in the 12:1 range from 4000-torque peak. The car pulls so fuking hard though, I cannot even compare my Z NA(which was no slouch) to what its doing now, its just sick. Im going to call TN and see what they say about me getting another reflash. Ill post more pics later....

BTW-Im positive I dont have an exhaust leak, Ive been under the car to check several times, and there is no audible leak.

drive the car though 3rd gear start slow at first and work it up to red line. but be floored the whole time. that way you can have time to listen to the car thoughout the band and determine the detonation sound. mine is more noticeable near the pasanger side and center of the car @4000-5900. btw you possibly arnt geting much of a audiable leak but can you smell the vapor at all? on decel with windows down

Yes the knock sensor is still active so it will still pull timing. By design the flash pulls a LOT of timing starting at 4k as boost threshold is met and they wanted to make it safe to redline so there is a drop in AFR right at 4k which may cause a bit of a hesitation but not anything major... So are you still hitting 12s? If so is it 12:1? Is your wdieband still showing 15.6:1 at idle. If so I think your wideband is off bro. Thats minimum 1 point to lean at idle. If you can log AFR please do. I'd like to see what the AFR is during a run... Fuel pressure sounds good to go and 9 PSI is still ok with this flash albeit its 1 PSI more then normal. This could be getting you a bit leaner during the run but certainly not at idle.. At 9.5 PSI my car was in the high 11s across the board and hit 12.1-12.2:1 at the top end.

Just wanted to say congrats and the car looks great. I didn't get a chance to say it yet but it looks amazing. What drop is in the car. I have the same wheels I think (LE37Ts 19x10.5" in the back?). I'd like to get a 285 for the rear this time around since my 275 is useless in a drag race even with Bridgestone S-03s on there..

Ok, after some test drives out with windows down I noticed a few things.

Nissansource-you were correct, I have a small exhaust leak, cant hear it, except when I start the car or when I drive next to something. Its either downpipe 1-2, or 2-3, I havent gotten under the car to check yet but thats def where its coming from. So because of my leak I would expect the WB to be off because thats all the way in the back past the leak in DP #3.<---would I be correct in assuming this?

Now, after boosting a few times Im running into some SERIOUS issues. First, I do believe Im detonating. When I hit it I get a hesitating, then it goes, then it hesitates, then goes. I had a friend film me hitting it from 2nd gear so you could hear my car, and the hesitation happened This is with a/f in the high 11's low 12's. Also, after boosting from down low in 4th to about 5500rpm's I pushed the clutch in to stop the run because it was in the 12's and the car stalled! I pulled over, started it back up, and it was fine. I boosted again in 3rd gear(not to redline) and after my idle sat at 1200, and when I gave it gas the car was not responding to my input! Checked TB harness its plugged in. WTF! This continued for a few seconds then the car stalled out again. I dont know whats up with the shut off, but it also shut off 2 other times when I wasnt even boosting and coming to a stop. And another problem Im now experiencing-my idle is erratic sometimes. It was rock solid at around 900rpm's before now it will go from 600-1000, to 700 back and forth. WHen its idleing like this, my a/f shows as lean as 18.XX!!

I will work on fixing the very small exhaust leak to recheck my a/f's, but at the same time I want to know why my car is now idleing like $hit and why its cutting off. Most importantly I really think Im detonating and something needs to be done ASAP.

**I will post 2 short clips I have please listen and provide input to my situation. BTW peak boost is still 9psi, so at least thats good.

First off yes if the exhaust leak is pre wideband it is DEFINITELY off. As for the idle are you sure none of the couplers came loose. Whats your vacuum showing? At idle something is definitely off..may need to re-idle air learn the car. I'll post the proceedure here. Lets see if we cant work through all this one thing at a time...

Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It is better to count the time accurately with a clock.

Operation Procedures
1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Conform that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.

This first link is me getting on it in 4th gear. Listen for the hesitation, I let off when it did this and the car stalled.

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...EzZGZkMzF5NTQx

This is a clip from outside th ecar, I went to hit it in 2nd gear, it hesitated, I put it in 3rd and hit it again. Listen again as the revs climb the car hesitates and then continues pulling....any input would be appreciated.

Alberto as we discussed this could be a result of you running 93 as opposed to the barely 91 crap we get here that the map was made on...Keep me posted on everything...

Thanks. After discussing the situation with MIA-Im gonna do 2 things. One is drive the car around for a few days and let the ECU learn the 93 octane here on the east coast-the flash is set for 91. And Ill work on fixing my small exhaust leak this weekend, along with recalibrating my WB to see what my "true" a/f numbers are. It does seem it hit a rich spot as MIA pointed out. Ill let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again MIA for the input...
