Default nismo cams w/ Vortech SC

When running the nismo cams(262 duration 10.8mm lift) w/ a Vortech SC, would it be necessary to raise the rev-limiter to see the power gains? I know that aftermarket cams shift the power curve further to the right on a dyno graph and have seen some dyno's w/ this setup, but i can't remember if they had raised the rev limiter.

the nismo cams actually just gain power all around

more aggressive cams will start to gain more power up high, and less down low

I have them with my Vortech SC . You can really feel them kick in at 3000rpm . Even when I have the cog belt off and not running the SC

Do you think that is becuase of the vct or just the specific grind of the cam? The reason i ask is because i am installing this motor in my maxima(FWD 3.5L) and in order to bolt my SC on i have to remove the vtc and install my 3.0L timming chain cover. So therefore i will not have the vct.

I think the pre-06 motors do have VTC, but it's just on the intake cam, the 06+ have it on both intake and exhaust cams.
