Default running way too rich w/TN...technosquare?

I seem to be one of those unlucky owners w/the TN that the reflash makes the engine run VERY rich. I dont have a wideband so I dont know exact A/F's but by the smell of the exhaust, color of fumes, and gas consumption this thing is dumping way too much fuel....but here is the reason for my post:

Im debating on taking the car to Technosquare in Torrence and having them flash a custom program for me. Anyone with personal experience with this company? Does anyone know of another reputable company in Socal that could tune a TN'd Z that doesnt have a programmable fuel management setup? Any input would help.

People have had good success with going to Technosquare. I think JimLinquest got his Turbonetics powered car tuned there.

if i was you, before you start saying it's too rich and all this, buy a wideband and find out EXACTLY how rich it is, then go from there.

I dont understand why you (or anyone) will run their FI'd Z w/o a wideband gauge kit.. You spend +5K on a turbo setup, yet wont spend less than 300 on a very important safety feature? Do yourself a favor, get one.

Well its not like i dont have a wideband because I dont want one...you just expect the car to run proper A/F's with TN reflash as many peoples do.

uh huh, but the car runs rich with the reflash,.....so you spouting that it's running really rich without some sort of measurable proof doesn't help us or you in any way.

Well the purpose of the thread is not to debate the accuracy of my a/f estimate it is infact to see if anyone can give me feedback on their experience w/technosquare reflashes and/or the shops tuning ability w/TN'd Zs. Please read the original posting. Thanks

Well he has a point, to many of us with boost experience it just isn't something we would do without a wideband A/F.

Anywho, since you are close (and saying that because you live in state lol) you should.

I have dealt with them over the phone and shipping... Very friendly and very helpful.

Sadly they had to go off of my A/F charts, and dyno charts for the flash so I had to ship off my ECU more than a couple of times... So with you going to them in person should make things much more easy for you.

Also like you I had the richness problem (though there could have been a fuel pressure issue since the shop I used for the install did not follow the directions directly esp. refering to the fuel pump modifications).

But anyway call them first and set up a apointment.
