Thumbs up Forged Performance Does It Again (Pics and Dyno)!!!!

I figured this deserved a new thread... Since the other one was already 3 pages long with a lot of fluff, but if you want the entire story read here...

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/209364-getting-some-stuff-at-forged-dyno-s.html

Just a brief recap...

Drove from Indianapolis to Sharif's shop in Hotlanta, when I got here we did a base line dyno of 426.8hp on 10psi, pump gas, emanage blue (self tuned, with some help from the forum), etc...

We installed the UTEC, 650cc injectors, and the ATS triple disk clutch... On the same 10psi of boost and pump gas Sharif was able to bring it up to 452.2hp!!!! That is 25.4 more peak horsepower with only changing to the UTEC and letting a master tuner like Sharif type on the keyboard for a while...

Now a 25.4hp gain is impressive, but that is not what got me excited the most. The "meat under the curve" is absolutely amasing!!!! Through out the entire mid range we saw gains of 50ft/lbs of torque and 35-40hp. If all I cared about was peak hp then I would have bought a Supra! Sharif was able to incease the usable part of the power curve significantly, trust me you can definately feel 50ft/lbs of torque on the butt dyno! There is over 400ft/lbs from 3600-5700rpm, and this is with open wastegate dumps.

I think that is as far as I am willing to push it with the Stock Block for now, maybe a water/meth kit would allow for a little more safe power, but I am one satisfied customer for now! 452hp on his dyno with no correction should be the stock block record at Forged Performance, this should be just over 500hp on a dynojet. Not bad for a stock block car on pump gas! I plan to head to a dynojet when I get home to show you guys the difference between the 2 dynos. So, who is next? The other thread had some poeple stepping up to the plate... Records are ment to be broken!!!

List of mods:
-------------
-Greddy TT w/ intercooler
-Greddy Type RS BOV
-Greddy catch can
-Greddy e-01 boost control (10psi)
-Crawford intake manifold
-APS oil pan
-AAM return fuel system (650cc injectors)
-AAM 3" downpipes w/ wastegate dumps
-APS 3" true dual exhaust
-UTEC (tuned by Sharif @ Forged)
-Innovate LC-1 wideband (motitoring with e-01)
-93 octane
-completely stock block

Here are the pics... when I get home I will post some better ones of the car.

That was at CP racing... they use a correction of 13%... Guess you will have to set the record when you get down here next week! Good Luck!!!

Looks like you have quality parts on your car, and a quality tune too. Very well done.

As soon as I get the 1100 miles worth of bugs off the front of hte car I will shoot some good pics for your guys...

Just got back home, and the whole way (7hrs) I was thinking of the next mod I could do to the Z... I think I have a problem! Speed is so freaking addicting and you always want more! This new found power that Sharif provided will hold me over until this winter, then we build!

i believe your car was tuned prior to when Sharif decided to stop using correction... so your numbers are probably corrected numbers

The way the tune is right now , I have no worries about the motor staying in one piece... I had quite a bit of input when we were doing the tuning, and we are as safe as you can be with this power level on the stock block. If we wantd to push it we could, but I would rather wait until the bilt engine is ready to be installed before we push the stock block to the limit. I told Sharif that I would be perfectly willing to see how far you can go with a proper tune before the engine internals just can't take the power...

We will see in a few months! For now, I am completely happy with the tune and have absolutley no concerns about the engine blowing apart. The only other thing I may do before the built motor is a water/meth kit, just to see if I can get to 500hp on the stock block on Forged's dyno, but that is at least a few months from now...

I never thought I would blow my motor either with 410 rwhp! Snapped a connecting rod. Don't think it won't happen to you. Tuned by sharif as well. Took the motor apart and no sign of detonation. Not Sharif's fault. Sh+tty connecting rods. Just make sure you have a cell phone with you so you can call a tow truck when the rod pops. If you drive it like you should one of the rods will jump ship.

Like I said before... I am convinced that not all of our engines are created equally... I also understand that a lot of other cars have broke at this power level. I am not saying it wont happen to me, but I like my chances. I am prepaired to build or I wouldn't push it like I do. If it happens it happens. I definately learned a long time ago that if you can't afford to fix it, you shouldn't mess with it!

All that being said... I still think someone should step to the plate and try to dethrone me for the Stock Block Dyno Record at Forged Perfomance! There are a lot of cars on here that should be really close, maybe some fine tuning and a water/meth kit? I don't think someone should blow their engine trying, but I think we can squeeze a few more safe dyno hp out of the stock blocks with the proper supporting mods. I just need to save a little more moeny before I can take another crack at it!

Looks like eagletanggreen will be the first to try!
