So I guess not raising the boost or adding timing, just retuning for the meth on the stock block is a good idea for cooling purposes than? For safety? Sounds good. I think I will have this done. I wonder how many hours labor this would take so I can guesstimate a rate for install in addition to the new tune.

Thanx a bunch athenG!!

Bumping an old thread

For those in colder climates how do you keep the water in the tank and lines in a liquid state? Is there somthing that you can wrap them in?

Typically you would want to run a meth mix that way you will avoid freezing all together, I would not risk straight water injection in the winter months...

Im a little confused with how the pump can be controlled.

I have the F con Pro, I want to have a progressive system that will flow more as the boost builds. Do I need a seperate controller, or can the F con do that? How do you connect the F con to the pump? Thanks.

I am not familiar with the F con Pro engine management but with a snow stage2 you would have your progressive control of the kit, but if you there is an option on the f con pro to progressive control via boost then you could wire it up to the pump fairly easily. I know people do this with the UTEC.

Fcon can fully control the water injection.

Who is your tuner?

They should be able to hook it all up for you.

No, at most the Utec can only control the on/off the meth controller so you still need the controller to control the spray pattern.

if you are running a fast spooling setup though the on/off style works great, if you have something thats laggy you definitely want a progressive controller for it.

Default aem stage II

Found an AEM stage II for 295 delivered on ebay. Also, hear good things about using walmart super tech -20 with a couple of bottles of heet/ walmart brand gasline antifreeze to bring it up to 50/50. Says uctane goes up to about 115 + cooling effects. Can't imagine installing my Vortech without it.

Riiiissse from youuuuuurrrrr graaaaaaave.......

Seriously though, the -20 is a good fluid to start with, as it is about 1/3rd methanol and cheap. Adding 3bottles of Heet (the 80Z bottles) will actually get you to about 55% methanol or so.
