I would guess at 425 on a dynojet, but I'll find that out on the 25th actually when I go to the Verocious Motorsports meet here in Delaware and spin the rollers on their dyno.

Oh, and I'm certain my calculator is correct. I used the formula that vortech gives to calculate it.

Just looked up the 928 impeller details ....

That would explain the 10K RPM difference. Again, this is why my next mod will be this impeller and a 2.70 pulley - I'm certain the stock bottom end will not like that for very long

I made 394 with the stock impeller though.

Which pulley? Either way, those are great numbers and also a good reason why comparing dynos is a waste of time . I think track times are the best yard stick.

Gotta love the heart breaker!

I hear you on track times being the best indicator.

I am running a 3.25" pulley but I also have a larger diameter crank pulley than anyone else (6.22") and I am now switching to a 6.88" crank pulley.

What made you go with the larger crank pulley?

VAS@Extended .... I use the bando belt with my setup, no GTM pulley and haven't experienced any slipping.

So I can hit the same impeller speeds as everyone else using a larger supercharger pulley to help fight belt slip. I also run an 8-rib indpendent drive belt for the supercharger.

hm, I guess Ill just order the 2.87 from them then. I already have the gtm pulley upgrade so i guess slipping shouldnt be an issue then.

one more questions:
George asked me to specify the belt setup. New style or old style. Which one do you recommend? which one do you use?

Thanks man!

Quamen, can you send me pics of your setup? It sounds pretty slick and I'd love to see it.

Vas, I have the out of the box belt setup. I figured I'd start with that and if I get any slip I'd change things around. So far so good.

This is changing though as stated above. I would like to do a twin supercharger setup with my built motor but the more I look into it everything works out fine until I try getting the charger pipe to the intake manifold. the only way I could really do it would be with the Corvetter style intake manifold Phunk made.

However, the opportunity for a Vortech V7 YSI blower just kinda just presented itself so who knows. In the next to months I am going to push the SC-Trim with the 928M impeller to it limits at around 60,000rpm's and see what happens. If by then I haven't hashed out the couple issues with the twin charger I am just going to stuff the V7 in there and let 'er eat.

Chef,
thanks! for the links.

I like the 2nd setup, minus the lower pulley which i dont have ( that shouldnt matter im guessing? ) I only have the gtm pulley.

This whole belt size thing is making thing so complicated I dont get it lol. What size ( inches ) is the belt that I would need with the 2.87?

car vs driver- Thanks man. if your not having any slipping with the old setup and gtm pulley maybe I will go that route? ughh this stuff is confusing lol. what size belt do you have? if you dont mind me asking.

thanks

Just a belt is 50 bucks ( gates ) so i'm assumming around 100 bucks like Car vs driver.

Vas- My belt size is around 80" so i'm pretty sure you will need shorter than that. I would say start with couple of inch shorter. I think belt size might can be change depends on how your belt setup. Well good luck!

Edit: Dave, sorry about delay on shipping, but sent you track number it's thru UPS. And i just checked and scheduled on this friday
