yes, the t-trim blower has to be purchased separate.

tuning would probably be the biggest challenge, as i'll have to drive across the country to do it.

You can actually buy the kit with the t-trim blower. Instead of buying a kit AND another blower

I'm sure it is just samething " upgrade blower ", instead you getting a sci trim, just pay extra for Ttrim.

well, that's confusing now..

among those kits offered (by the vendor), the T-Trim is less expensive than the SC-Trim.. *i'd rather keep the prices off*

Vortech Tuner Kit, 2003-2006 350Z/G35 w/ V2 or V3 SQ SC-Trim & Charge Cooler, Satin
Vortech Tuner Kit, 2003-2006 350Z/G35 w/ V2 or V3 SQ T-Trim (no Charge Cooler), Satin (less expensive than the above ^^)

Vortech Tuner Kit, 2003-2006 350Z/G35 w/ V2 or V3 SQ SC-Trim & Charge Cooler, Polished

i thought maybe the price is lower on the T-Trim because they're not including the intercooler, but even if you add the price of an intercooler, the price would match the SC-Trim and a little less even...

The price would be higher. The T-trim is a slightly more expensive blower than the SC-trim. However, I would bet you could buy a different intercooler and the T-trim tuner kit and make your own piping for less.

I just looked over vortech's website. they do not have V3 T-trim for sure. I know they have a V2 T-trim, i don't know why they did not list on their website. But if you can get a T-trim for same price, it is good deal. Also, i asked one of my friend that who had vortech, he said if you want a upgrade T-trim kit, they might not include IC, it's because T-trim is heavy duty. which may require bigger IC for better result. So it make sense to me.

i have about the same plans as these below with the only difference being i'm in the netherland where we have ron98 fuel.

will the utec still be the be a good choice for me for 400whp?

i think i will be doing all the tuning myself as there are no real 350z experts here..

the pretuned ecu in the normal vortech will not work on ron98 fuel will it?

Vortech tuner kit
upgraded 3.12 pully/belt
rc 550 injectors
walboro fuel pump
oil catch can
oil pan spacer and tap (not sure)??
1 step colder snpark plugs
Defi gauges - A/f, boost, oil temp

This set-up should be good for 400whp and pretty reliable for a daily driver yea ??

Maybe slim koyo radiator and JWT clutch and flywheel later on down the road.

While the UTEC is not the best ECU, it will be more than capable of supporting between 400-500whp. I ran it for a year at 414whp on an SC-Trim Vortech.

a little update...

i've changed my mind about the T-Trim, going with the SC-Trim
"Vortech Tuner Kit, 2003-2006 350Z/G35 w/ V2 or V3 SQ SC-Trim & Charge Cooler, Satin"

and i'll be getting the 3.12 pulley at first. i just need to get used to the power, and upgrade later if needed..

just waiting for the vendor to get me the shipping charges, and i'll be ready to go..

Good choice man, you can simply replace 2.87 and you can replace the blower whenever you ready to build motor in future. Good luck again.

good choice but i'm going to stray you from that 3.12 pulley. Just go to the 2.87 with 440cc injectors and get it over with. It will save you from having to do multiple tunes down the road. I only kept the 3.12 pulley on for about a week. I did a few tuning pulls and got it setup decent and decided it was never going to be enough.

i've decided on the 3.12 for 2 reasons:

1- i want to see the basic power i can get with it.
2- dont feel like pushing it from the begining.

and i thought upgrading to 2.87 voids vortech's warranty.

and i'm going with 550cc injectors..
