Really enjoying the new boost, but was wondering if the rich condition in full boost all the time is harmful. My aem wideband goes flatline rich so its under 11 af, but i dont know if thats 10.9 or much less.
When i get my aftermarket exhaust, will this help lean it out or just give me sooner boost.
Sure wish there was a tuner locally that knew how to tune the utec, maybe a 2 day road trip to cali to see sam in my summer vacation plans.
Thanks again.

Boost gauge is fine, 8.5 psi, rock solid.
I dont know if its 10.8, the aem only goes down to 11.
What about aftermarket exhaust, will this help?

If you have the means I would swap out to a Innovate LC-1 XD-16 combo since it is more accurate and gives you the ability to calibrate from in the car.
Also if it is in the mid to high 10's during WOT only it won't hurt anything.

My concern is it may be mid to high 9s if the wideband doesnt flatline till less than 10.
Im pretty sure thats the case too.
What would cause an increase in fuel pressure?
Thanks.

I dont hear any exhaust leaks, that car is so damn quiet now.
If it was a boost leak, would i still get 8.5lbs all the time?
Thanks.

As a result his base fuel pressure was something like 73 PSI at idle. That is WAYYYYYYYY to high and caused his car to also run off the scale rich. Once this was corrected the car immediately made more power and his AFR went to normal.
The lowest i would see in the digital readout was 11.1, so maybe the aem only leds and digital readouts to 11.0 afterall.
Mia, with 73 psi at idle, was his car running really rich idling as well or only in boost.
When im at idle its 14-16ish jumping around, just like when i had the vortech on.

I think the new AEM gauge does that. The older ones I think you are correct stop at 11:1. Honestly to be 100% put the car on a dyno and check the AFR with their sniffer.
Funny you should suggest that, i just went by the shop that did the install and they have a wideband dyno. 100.00 for 3 pulls.
Should i worry about the rich conditon and not enjoy the power till I get a dyno run? What is the lowest documented a/f on the reflash been?
If anyone can recommend a tuner in the pacifc northwest preferably, that can dyno tune the utec like sam at GT does, please chime in.
P.S: ordered the apexi ws2 today will get it in 2 weeks, then dyno.
Thanks.
