I am sorry about what happened to your car truly man and think STS is going about taking care of it the wrong way unless they seriously take care of you, but i think Incomplete is the wrong word to use. I think this is one of the most complete ST kits available. However, it does seem like every order they have shipped has not had all of the parts. This is a logistics problem though not a problem with the kit itself. I hope you can keep your car man. Once again I feel really bad for you...

I'm sorry but when there is only three kits that are released for sale (Power Lab is not out yet) that statement is not really saying much about them.

IMO just because a company has a good EMS and injectors as part of their kit where other kits give less in these two areas (yet still good enough) does not make this any more complete.

As far as I know the Turbonetics customer service was great for issues such as over boost and warrenties.

Don't get me wrong, the STS kit is neat, but I think it was released a bit premature for the 350z considering all of the simple issues they are having. You can't tell me that a company that is charging a large some of money for their kits can't take the time to insure that EVERY silicon hose coupler that is supposed be included in the kit is actually being shipped. IMO that simple mistake speaks loads about how this company really cares about their service and the "completeness" of their kit.

Yes if this is an Incomplete kit then I don't know what you call the TN kit. Missing parts do happen though STS has had some problem with it but that is logistic problem and that is why you have to make sure check everything not just STS but any kit out there to make sure you have all the parts. Based on what I have found out about your situation, you really should not have done any FI, I'm sorry that you had to deal with this.

Let put things into prospective, I can buy a TN/Vortech kit and decide to upgrade my Injector and EMS to Utec which pretty much you're in the same situation. Injector or EMS failing can happen so this can happen to everyone, it suck but it does happen. Now can you blame TN or Vortech as a kit? Sure STS pretty much purchased every parts for you and that is why STS is now finding which party is responsible, plus STS did put quality parts in there, it is not like they bought the cheapest EMS, BOV, WS and Injector that they can get.

Hey aarantes, sorry to hear about your luck with the STS Kit. We were informed about this thread by two of our customers who both purchased and had this kit installed by us. We are in no way trying to speak on Squires Turbo Systems behalf, however, we have not encountered any of the issues that you have had. As far as the kit goes, we feel that it is a good kit considering price and install costs. We have done two 350Z STS Kits and have not encountered any reliabilty issues. We completed both kits earlier this year in May. Our customers have told us that they are happy with the performance, sound, and the install that we performed. If you would like any help or have any questions about the kit, feel free to ask. Even though you did not purchase this kit from us, we have dealt with STS for quite some time now and have not had any customer service issues with them. This may be because we are currently sponsored by them for our Formula D car and are a liscensed STS Dealer. Nevertheless we install countless other turbo systems, greddy, aps, turbonetics, etc. Given the fact we have had no problem with our kits, we believe this kit to be about the best bang for your buck overall, including price and install. We are by no means trying to disrespect anyone on this forum, we would just like to respond to this based on our experience with this particular kit and our customer's feedback.

Thanks,
CIN Motorsports

Yeah I mean this is all discouraging but it will all work out in the end.

AthenG I could very much so afford FI I just dont want to put this much money into a car while I am going through college.

Thanks CIN but I will probably just fix the engine hope that STS refund me the money for the kit and just stay NA till I am out of college. I am just trying my best to not sell this car because right now it is a big pain in my a$$.

UPDATE

Just wanted to let you guys know everyone at STS has been very helpful and are working with me to get this problem solved. They have returned EVERY single phone call I have made within an hour or so if noone picks up.

Ijust wanted to say thanks to all the shops/ forum members that are helping me out with this situation.

This should all be solved in the next week or two if everything goes as planned.

It is a new kit so there will be some issue but let me tell you Rick is really a stand up guy. I'll admit that they may not have the best Regional representative but once Rick get involve then I say you are in good hands.

He do read this thread and he takes it personal when people talked bad about his company, he is in the business for a long time and posting and battling things on the Forum is not the way to do it. How would you feel if someone talk trash about you and at the same time ask you for help, ain't fun right.

Let us not all get carried away until aarantes really get thing resolved

Goose could you give us your overall impressions of the heat wrap? I know you posted some data logs earlier but I'd like to hear you describe the difference you felt

Well would you not be pissed the frist day or two that it happened?? Yes I was extremely angry when it happened like anyone else would be when they drop that kind of money and dont even get to enjoy it for a mile.

After I calmed down I stopped accusing if you didnt read my posts I said I want to work with STS to just return the kit and to find out the problem.

I will be pissed too but posting on the forum right away will not be the first step if you want the other party to feel sorry for you. I know you did back off after you have posted but you didn't give STS enough time to really help you out and you know how thing can go wrong on the Forum especially 99% of the people have no idea what's going on behind the scene. The bottom line is that no matter how this thing get resolved, you will be down a fair amount of $$$ so I guess it is really hard to control your feelings.

I am a LAN Specialist and I deal with many Vendors for support and the first thing I have learned is always try to be calm when I want support coz at the end of they day they will be the one helping me solve my problem.

Good Luck and hope things go as planned (Well I'm talking about Plan B )

Alex, like I said earlier, Im glad things are working out for you. I would also like to take the time to say Rick is a stand up guy(no I do not know him, but know of domestic guys who have had great success with this kit and Rick as a person) and I am glad that he has taken time out of his busy schedule to try and make things right. I hope everything works out and you get your beast on the road soon.

For all STS bashers, this is a new kit and there is bound to be some troubles with it, but if we can get these kinks worked out, I think this kit will be another great kit for the 350Z community.

@Rick(STS) when are you going to put together a kit for the twins(any time in the near future). I want to be putting down numbers like the Vette and GTO.

The heat wrap seemed to increase the overall responsiveness of the system, and improved spool times by a small margin. In addition, re-tuning after the center pipes and the heat wrap yielded an approximate 25HP increase in my low boost map (5-6psi). I can't explain that one, but I have the before and after dyno from MRC. The same setup didn't seem to do much for the re-tune of my high boost map (8-9psi).
