HKS GT Supercharger released!!
ya, the curves look similiar and prolly overlay the 2,87 pulley on a tuned vortech.
wonder how those teeny intercoolers do in the summer. Lots of posts of heat soak on the vortechs now.
but as long as everyone is happy, 8k or 4k$ it doesnt matter

ftr, the cost of the HKS S/C nonrevup kit is $6500.
revup kit I think is ~$7,000
GTM sells the nonrevup kit kit installed for $8000.
I'd gladly pay an extra $2500 over what a Vortech would cost for the HKS, but that's just me. Me no likey the recent issues of the Vortech bearings and its look and sound, although it definetly can produce high numbers with the right upgrades. The HKS is more efficient, better fit and finish (more bling), quieter, self contained oil cooling, f-con management, and yes more expensive.
The only other S/C I would consider would be the Novidem (but way to much $$$) and if Kraftwerks ever made a kit for our cars (Rotrex).

Also, a smaller intercooler on a supercharger system is a plus due to less pressure drop, vertical core also helps.
For built engine/big power upgrading the intercooler wouldn't be too dificult.

Just a FYI.
Just a FYI.
George I feel like a kid before christmas waiting for a present. In this case, I'm the kid, GTM/HKS is Santa, and the present is a revup HKS GT S/C kitSam told me June 15 it is expected to arrive, the order for the kit was received by HKS April 7. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Things to consider that many are overlooking conviently:
1) This kit is CARB approved, all the turbo kits currently available are not, so please do not compare this kit to them.
2) It IS a better designed system than other SC kits on the market, and I am pretty sure you won't be replacing your blower every year.
3) These numbers are very good for stock block A/T cars, just wait until we get one on a M/T.
4) Yes its more expensive, don't the better things in life usually cost a bit more?
Lastly, I am all for Twin Turbo, I don't care for Superchargers and I don't care for single turbos. IMO Twin Turbo is the way to go, but this is just MY opinion.
Today, if I was going to Twin Turbo my car I would still go with a APS kit, if I was going to Single Turbo my car I would go with a PowerLab ST kit, and if I was going to Supercharge my car, I would go with the HKS S/C kit.
Johnnylaw,
I know how you feel, I am suppose to get my car back in the next few weeks after a LONG 16 months without it.

P.S. I hope I do not offend anyone, just posting my opinion

So it looks like the out of the box 6 psi numbers are pretty close together in terms of gains from all the various dynos posted. Thanks to all of you guys for sharing btw. Not too bad for someone who isn't looking for big power and wants CARB status. This has got me thinking now. Do I get the new Ralliart Lancer or do I go HKS S/C for the Z and get a Fit. Decisions....

Is this kit really CARB approved now or just pending application?
How much more power would this be over stock are you estimating with a MT or over the Auto tranny #'s here dyno'd?

It is CARB approved. After installation at a certified PRO shop, you send your invoice (proof of purchase and install through an authorized PRO Dealer) to HKS USA, then after they verify the documents they send you a CARB sticker for your S/C.

Are you sure its approved? The last time I checked, which was a couple weeks ago, the EO# was still pending.
