so to go with the HKS supercharger, you have to get a different hood ?

The only thing that I don't like about the kit so far is how tiny the IC is. Makes the Vortech IC look huge!

Wow. That looks very clean. Maybe it's the American in me but I was expecting to see a compressor wedged in there, to my surprise it looks very complete with no wasted space.

Sam can you comment on how prone the intercooler is to heat soak? Would we be safer moving to a larger or wider core for a 375-400whp goal?

I do like the fact that the kit looks to be lighter than it's counterparts, happy to see that there is a simple belt setup as opposed to several idler pulleys. It also appears that your numbers are on par with the other kits on the market, any chance we can get a dyno sheet soon, for comparisson sake?

I've been on the fence between the vortech/procharger setup, and thanks for adding another one in the mix The kit definitely looks quality and quite capable of 400whp. Glad to see there is a little supercharger love on the forums.

Yep stock...

Roadster- I dont know how other hoods will fit but with my top secret it sticks just a bit out of the vent. Cant have the grill on but I personally like how it looks...

Hexxum001- When the bottom end is built and we go for over 400whp a larger one will likely be added.

Forzwin- Sam will be posted dyno sheets and a writeup in the builds section soon. He can say more then I can about all the details to be sure LOL

Yeah, I would probably go with a bigger IC also. I wonder why HKS decided to go with such a small IC?

Thanks! I know you listed an entire "agenda" of modifications to be done while your car was at GTM, but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind listing what sort of power modifications you have in addition to your HKS Supercharger setup that reflect he numbers Sam stated.

Thanks.

I can only assume that it's more efficient than a larger core at lower boost levels. No sense in having a mammoth core if you are only pushing ~9psi. But then again this is HKS, I'm sure they've done their research and while it may not be optimal for a +12psi setup, I'm sure it's quite capable of cooling the specified amount of boost.

On another note, if I'm reading this right, I'm forced to assume that this is not something I can install myself? Is there any way I can install the kit myself, even if it means waiving the HKS warranty?

They only offer the kit as the CARB legal version, no need for a larger intercooler unless you want yo get crazy *shrugs*

FORZWIN-
It has exactly what I listed earlier except the Cosworth didnt come in time so it has a motordyne plenum and spacer. Pretty sure I posted that list in this thread...

You did, and I read it. I was just wondering if there were any parts prior already on the vehicle prior to the install.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to get a ball park of where I "could" stand, with a similar setup and at the same time comparing to what I've seen from the vortech/ATI kits

Thanks for everything.

The only thing I had on before would be my Powerhouse Amuse exhaust, the rest of that I had was suspension and exterior stuff.

I'd wait for GTM's upcoming release thread regarding HKS GT sc setups. There is a lot more to making the power that Marble's setup achieved then just slapping on the bolt-on kit. I'm not going to say any more, It's up to Sam and GTM to advertise their hard work and R&D on this kit, and to reap the rewards. If you are really serious about this kit, I'd contact Sam @ GTM for more info.
