Default 3.9 with FI...anybody running it?

I run the STS with light flywheel and 6 puck clutch....thinking of going with 3.9 (I track alot and AutoX more). Anybody have first hand pro's and con's to report?

I have heard it might not be the best for a turbo car. Maybe go with a 3.7 I guess if you have PLENTY of traction maybe but the powerband in your car is pretty big.

Kinda my thought too...just wanted an opinion of anyone driving this set-up.

Its a torque multiplier. Works best with low peak torque FI applications. Without knowing your power curve can't even begin to give you solid advice.

I think some folks with SC have run shorter gears, but for turbo - no way.

I made the mistake of going with 3.9 gears on my car and I dont have outragous HP only 450hp/400tq and 1st gear is isnt evan their....max rev instantly. I launch in 2nd gear and traction probles at the top of that...so do yourself a favor and dont do it!!!!!!!!
