I stated what my tuner had said in that thread.

1sweetz should not make suggestive posts that everyone who has had a Proefi has been thrilled with it, because that is clearly not the case, at least in my situation. And 2. Proefi selected their dealers/tuners, and the one designated to tune my car, obviously had issues with the system that ProEfi did not seem to care about. I was willing to drive 14 hours away to get a second opinion because of the limited ProEfi dealers in my area.

I dealt with the system for 6 months.
I tried being very patient and hoping we could make this work.
When 6 months has passed and not one rep would be willing to
take a trip and see why one their dealerships is having such a hard time
to get their system up n running that is a lack of utmost support.
sounds like AEM part 2

1ZweetZ.....

I can see that you will never get it ! You are like the drug reps that come to my office trying to get me to use this new drug that just came out that they say will be the best thing sense Viagra....but later down the line they have to pull it off the market. I tell them I will wait to see what the studies say.

I have had my Motec for 5+ years...and the V-Pro for a little over 1 year. I can speak fully for the Motec, but the only thing I can say about the V-pro is " up to this date, Zero issues".....and I leave it at that. V-pro sells itself on its performance so far.

Glex has stated that he has had major problems with the ProEFI and that he would rather use the Utec instead.....but yet you swear that the ProEFI has Zero issues. Glex is not the first person to state this and I would not be the person to post about the others......if they want to...they can do it themselves

Jorge and some of the other with this EMS has posted their opinions on it and has left it up to the ProEFI to back them up....and I respect them for that. This means I can trust their review on this EMS when they have fully tested it.

But you just keep on and on about it....this makes people look for the bad in this product instead of the good...The "Gotch You" syndrome. Now come to find out...you have only had this EMS for a short time....come on now!!!

What makes you a pro on this EMS? I gave you the iPhone as an example. Do you think this phone was only tested for a year before it came out? This thing has been out for over 7 years...put only in the hands of a selected few thousand who of course had to sign a few papers if you know what I mean and they all worked for Apple....and that's all I will say on that. The d@mn thing still has problems.

I have medical devises that I install in patients that have been tested for over 15 year that cost over 75K to 90K and they misfire sometimes.....so please stop this BS. You are killing the ProEFI.....the more you sell it up the more it looks like its need help to get off the shelf.

Raj is in the same field as i am ...but he is more knowledgeable on this EMS topic than I am. We in medicine know that things like pacemakers and AICD's are very advance pieces of equipment .....WAY more advance than this ProEFI. It has an internal computer that learns the patients electrical profile and behaviors of the heart.....its has a brain of its own. You would think that a devise this complicated that has been tested for WAY over 15 year on hundreds of thousands of patients and a few Million now have been using it for years would never have a problem....??? .... Tell me that when I have to rush to the hospital at 3am !!

So if you are saying that this ProEFI is way too good to fail.....maybe I should install one in my patients instead of in my car....

Like I said ..... I will let the product speak for itself...maybe you should do the same.

Hello,

The "other side of the story":

I just hung up the phone with Jason on this matter. You are NOT being truthful here, and for what reason I don't know. Jason stated he had been in constant contact with TurboTrix about how your car was going, especially since it was the first one TurboTrix tuned. Mark from TurboTrix was made aware of your issues by a phone call he received from Jason at ProEFI. Jason received a phone call from Larry at Sound Performance about your car to alert Jason that you were having issues. The short version... you DID not make Mark at TurboTrix aware of your problems, you took it upon yourself to contact another dealer. Even the dealer told you to contact TurboTrix regarding the issue. Mark then called YOU...not the other way around as to what the issues were. When the car originally left TurboTrix Mark made you aware of some additional tweaks that needed to be done, and did not hear from you. Just like any of us, we can't fix what we don't know is broken. When your car came back to TurboTrix he found the problem with your air temp sensor wigging out causing erratic fueling.... a loose wire, NOT the ProEFI. He fixed the problem, had the car running what Mark called exceptional, and your BIGGEST complaint at that point was that you had a check engine light for slow O2 response, and couldn't deal with it.

The bottom line, YOU neglected to alert your dealer of an issue you had...for whatever reason, YOU neglected to contact ProEFI about the issue, so you only have YOURSELF to blame. Dragging the name of a well respected Tuner, and a well respected Engine management system through the mud due to your own issues is simply unfounded.

We have used every engine management system under the sun, and with all of the options available to us (HKS V-Pro, Motec, AEM, Utec, Autronic, etc..) we will only use ProEFI, unless it is an application they currently do not support. We have watched ALL of the R&D since the beginning of it's inception, and the attention to detail that Jason puts in is nothing less than amazing. He is concerned with every customer being 100% satisfied -- don't think for a minute anything different. I have personally drove 6 hours WITH JASON to look at a car that had a ProEFI on it with idle problems. Even though he knew the problem was in the throttle body! We arrived at the customers house in Vegas, and in 30 seconds he showed the customer why it was the throttle body causing the issues...it was sticking open. So what is 12 hours of a person like Jason's time worth? The customer offered to pay Jason for his time.. Jason refused to take the money... I was there and witnessed this. So, treating him the way some of you are, especially when you don't know him and don't know his business practices is absurd. I have known Jason for about 4 years, and have never known him to be anything less than professional, and go the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy.

Darren...... Are you saying that if I came to your shop for a full build turbo's and all....and i told you that I would rather have an (for example ) AEM installed instead of the ProEFI ...you would not do the job?

Doctor,

In your example, I would tell you that you're making a big mistake in going with that ems and I would show you quantitative, empirical examples of why ProEFI is a better option. If you still insisted upon that particular ems, we would tell you NO. The AEM cannot stay in sync on that engine because it has to turn off the cam sensor imput (called "sync ignore"). So, if you miss a pulse on the crank it has no way of correcting itself = bye bye pistons.

If I could pull all the text I have sent between the period that it was first install and when it finally got pulled out, I would.

If I text someone 3x in one day to let them know about a issue that I found and I don't receive a respond back within a few days I leave it alone.

I'm not a person to hunt down people.
I don't like people being on my back and I hate to do it to others.
For a System that is suppose to be so stable why do I have to keep
reporting back like if I was on parole.

As I said 3k miles and 1.5k of it was back and forth to the shop and dyno time in a period of 6months.
I said my peace and so did the spark plugs i pulled out.
I'm leaving this thread alone.
I'm still trying to put my car back together and trying
to man up to my sponsors for events/reviews that
were suppose to happen during this period.

How does the product "speak for itself" exactly. If customers (which I am) aren't "allowed" to post their reviews? The fact is that I am a customer of ProEFI, I am in a position to give a review of the system and it's merrits. I sat down with Jason and went over the entire system before I purchased it, so I am well aware of it's capabilities. Jason took one of their ecu's and tossed it up in the air and let it fall onto a bare concrete floor...took the ecu and plugged it into a shop car and fired it right up! Do that with any of the others! I am also well aware of the capabilities of the Motec, AEM, and V-Pro. As I said...I do my research, not to mention I have been around these systems for years. So if you don't want to hear what others have to say about the product...ignore the posts! Quit trying to start a gun fight with an empty gun. This ECU has been running in FACTORY vehicles for nearly 8 YEARS.

You spent how much? And all you did to try to rectify your issues was text someone? Must have been a HUGE problem you were having to "Text" the person... If you weren't having problems.. you wouldn't be "reporting back" Find one person who ever had a stand alone installed that NEVER had to return for some tweaking here or there...especially when it is the first time a tuner used that system. Clearly you handled your issue correctly!

....Ok...maybe I should not have use the AEM.....my point is are you saying that all your customer HAVE to go with the ProEFI ? This is a question that I also asked FP.... Did I have to go with the Vpro or I could pick something else....

Well I am glad you asked....this is how its done....

You drive the car for a few months and keep us updated on how its going. Tell us your driving habits..:ie Do you drag race....road race....or just weekend drive. Then you wait a few more months and then give another update.....then take questions.

What you dont do is come on here with LITTLE to NO experience with this EMS and try and tell us its the best thing sense sliced bread....that its better than Motec...that its too good to have faults. People on here are still recovering from the VRT burn....so people will start to thing that you have something to gain by posting like this instead of just being a Nutthugger!

Like I said....I will be in AZ to see for myself and I will wait for Jorge to tell me whats up.

BTW....If Sharif reads this or I will call him on the phone....I want him to pull my Vpro out of my car throw it up in the air and have it land on the concrete floor ( need Darren to tell Sharif how high he threw it in the air)....put it back in the car and start it up. With this I take it if the car starts this will make it as good as the ProEFI...right LMAO !!!!

to play devils advocate for a second, and I asking this with all serousness and not with an ounce of malice, as I am genuinly interested in this ecu for my own car : if the system is supposed to self tune with a single pull on the dyno as you mentioned previously, how/why could the plugs look the way they did? It just seems to me that the bottom line is that as good as any system purports itself to be, no part is immune to failure, and some times "oh ****" scenarios happen even when there are best intentions. At the end of the day, ALL of these systems, no matter how many street or race cars they are in, etc, all require human interaction, and that, by nature, takes away any failure-proof status. Which is why at the end of the day, picking your tuner, I believe, is equally, if not more important of a selection that the system which he is going to tune.

Adam....

And thats all we have been saying. Even the mighty Motec needs a good tuner....no system is smart enough to go on its own..

Great post
