Without a shop close to my house I couldnt deal needing to rely on somebody far away.

Its a HUGE help and a big reason for why I havent abandoned the platform...my props go to Ray for keeping me in the game.

Ive been in MD man, I trailered the car back the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I then dropped it off at PFS (in MD) and picked it up yesterday.

I dunno if Id ever drive the car that far again, or attend ZdayZ...just too much risk of getting stranded, the trailer/gas costs home are too high.

I feel the same way, probably going to keep my car local. Definitely Columbia and areas like that, but not sure about going down to VA until I feel more confident.

yup, I'll have to double check, but Dave swapped my original one back in so yours should be ready.

Alberto, I have your MAF as well.

*Fly home, with no car, no working cell (I puked on it in disgust of this fawking car), and no guns (I had taken some $hit to go shoot on a farm wasnt trying to check it through TSA) - Ray @ PFS I will eventually call you if I decide to go a certain route - this is not a call out to you, this isnt even your motor.

After 4800 miles on this motor (first one had same symptoms and ended up needing new pistons, machining, bearings, headgasket was blown, rebuild, etc at 9000 miles) this $hit happeneing AGAIN to me makes me absolutlely sick to my fawking stomach. I have no faith in this car, this build, this motherfawking community at all anymore.

Dont get me started on this $hit again

I drove the car back from PFS yesterday afternoon, and everything was very smooth. I used to have a weird hiccup that occasionally popped its head up at 2500rpm's, but Ray took care of it for good. He also straightened out my idle a little more so it doesnt jump around as much as it used to, car idles damn good for having BC3 cams.

It was in the 20's and actually flurrying slightly so I couldnt get any in 3rd gear, but easing into 4th and pushing thru 5th the car pulled nasty hard, makes my adrenaline rush like nothing else Ive done

Thanks again to Ray and his team at PFS, great people to do business with.

don't take this as a call-out, for it is not. it is clarification of my post in which you replied to above. the emboldened statements above point to FP and not GTM as they were speaking of your current build. this is what i meant by 'ranting against specific shops'. i understand you were frustrated, but the motor is seemingly still solid and the issue with the fans was caused by flying aero...not that they, themselves, were inherently bad...

i think you jumped to some conclusions about your motor without having all of the information as to what the issues truly were. you are a very respected individual on this board (as well you should be...and i consider us good acquaintances if not friends) and your words hold a lot of weight... i hope you understand where i am coming from. i felt the need to clarify.

Everybody on these forums seems to understand my opinions and views except you Jeremy, why do you have such trouble lately?

Did I jump the gun on thinking the motor was toast and the fans were at fault? YES - now use your common sense and think about why, and my recorded history of issues with both.

Its not rocket science, the fans were giving me issues before I even made it home burning fuses and having them originally installed with wire that was too thin and was melting. Even after several members had the same issues before ME, it wasnt fixed, just pushed on me, installed in the same manner and sent out the door. An extra box of fuses for the ride home, how awesome....

If you have any further concerns PM me, everytime somebody questions why I feel the way I do I just want to give $hitty examples of why, but THAT I wont continue to do, because at the end of the day Sharif swallowed GTM's issue (not Sam) and gave me another shot and put me back on the road, that can NEVER go unrecognized. /that BS

I know some of the N/A peeps are planning on trying to make opening day at Cecil........maybe you can make a few passes if all is still well. I know Chris had expressed some interest in running the Z as well.

Glad to hear the good news Alberto about your Z and that you're still in the game. ......And LULZ at the public suggestion (oh, but it's not a call-out) that you owe anyone an apology after what you have been through.

First T&T is March 6 (weather permitting). Any new plans for added traction?

I may come out and attend for that, I definetely wont be running though.

My main issue is I dont have Skinnies up front, and I have a nasty WOT sway down the track on the bias play/radial combo. I also think my wheelbase - yes wheelbase, may be SLIGHTLY off from the use of the "toe" arms which arent truly the way the toe should be adjusted. My cars suspension mods show its age here, because I had the arms years ago before the adjustable bolts came out to market which I also use.

So I've contemplated giving up a little camber and going back to stock traction arms with adjustable camber arms and the eccentric bolts.

OR - I can run drag radials, not hook up as well but it would surely be enough for my goals. Im almost positive my WOT sway would be greatly dimished with that setup. Then I run into the same issue, I have no cage.

Either way its $$$$, and my car just isnt my priority right now.
