For those of us who have done or are doing builds, I think it's a combination of both excitement and anxiety. I know it is for me.

This time I am doing a Racepak dash with info up the @ss. I'm going to have EGT, A/F, RPM, Boost, Fuel pres, Oil press, Oil temp and Coolant temp right in front of me where it should be. Having gauges all over the place isn't the ideal way to aquire the data.

why not use osiris for tuning? don't they have an upgradable MAF thats supposed to be good for over 600 whp? i'm not sure how it stacks up to the Haltech, but its surely better than the utec...

The Osiris is $900 plus the cost of MAF sensor. I would just get the Haltech. But I decided to keep the power @ about 450 whp/10psi with the UTEC until I can get a Haltech. The UTEC will be more than adequate for that power.

Thanks Craig!

I bought 2 of these CNC oil return fittings so I can run AN fittings to the turbo instead of the hardpipes supplied with the GTM kit.

Yes... Larry is doing my machine work and building the short block for me. From what I have heard he is one of the best!

I will mount it right behind the fuel tank under the rear brace. I would like some crash protection. Same place JUN mounted theirs. I wouldn't think of doing this without running a full fire suit and a Halotron fire suppression system.

Very, very good deal! I performed a reasonable searched for the lowest priced 10 AN bungs, and they were $11 a piece. With shipping, the parts alone for mine probably came in somewhere between $70 and $80, and that was before it was assembled. NICE FIND! It looks to be very versitile too!

The motor is going to be back in a week or so. Sam is still putting together the turbo kit. Parts are comming in from the manufacturers. I am gathering all the parts for my fuel surge tank still. I will be rigging up a vacuum manifold and a oil distribution manifold. I will also be installing a Racepak dash with sensors. Lots going on and it never happens quickly. So slowly I will add to the thread. This has to be completed by the first week in April. April 18th is the first track day at Sebring. I know it's slow... but hang in there.

I saw the short block. The pistons look nice and snug in the bores.......I hell of alot tighter than whoever previously setup Larry's old block/piston combo. They must have liked their piston-to-wall clearances like an old hooker!!! Sloppy and loose! Those pistons had more rock than a granite quarry!

This new motor should be nice!!! I think Larry went the right way in choosing a true engine machinist to machine and build the short block.
