is it possible VR38dett swap on 350z
i did some search on the vr38dett as far as pricing / weight .. etc
the reason am posting this is having the reliable engine of vr38dett in our cars with out all the hasel
the engine wight 608lb and cost 30K for just long block but on the other hand u can push 600whp+ realy easy and it would still be u DD
what do u think guys

No need to flame, he was merely asking if it is possible.
Yes it is, but it won't be cheap Although you will have a closed deck block, which would eliminate a lot of issues with high horsepower applications.
I would do it if I was to build a 800+ rwhp car (not to say it can't be done with a VQ, but a closed deck will be much better suited for the job.)
The nice thing about the VR38 is that it does not have VVEL, which will make things easier to retrofit into our cars.

You can put any engine in any car... Using a standalone ems , the wiring wouldn't be a big deal... You can make mounts if they don't line up... I would think the hurdles to overcome with a vr swap would be cost effectiveness and transmission. Don't bother trying to make that trans work while doing awd conversion... Cause at that point its just too far to take a 350z... But if you could adapt stock trans to it, it could become realistic in a few years

350z awd
A 350Z AWD has already been done (lifted with modifications from a G). I am not sure if still is currently operational though
Also, PPW have swapped a SR 20DET into a 350Z and an Infinity V8 racing motor in a 350Z

what eff why are ppl flaming?
cant hate the guy for wondering....
I wouldnt be a bad idea lots of power stock motor in a lighter car whats to hate?
yeah its not cost effective but what is? Maybe in a couple of years when they are plenty of bapped gtr's it wont be that bad.... plus will be able to get a 350zfor like 5-6k.
awd....Nope but maybe a 350z's tranny will mate with the the vr's bell housing?
