Default Is there a way to send ECU a MAF voltage from Haltech?

The Fcon can send the ECU a false voltage for the MAF.. Can the Haltech do this? If so, is there any documentation? The manual doesn't have much info.

Just bypass the haltech with it if you want it to have that maf signal

It is my understanding that the Haltech can modify the MAF and pass it on, but it cannot de novo generate a signal (like a MAP to MAF conversion, for example). So if you have no MAF sensor anymore, then the Haltech would be stuck. I would check with Hal for latest updates on this though...

I have my MAF still hooked into its harness, but it's not in the charge pipe.. just sitting in my engine bay.

My AIT sensor is spliced into my MAF wiring.

How do I know if the MAF signal is being modified and sent to the ECU to keep it happy? I am getting a low voltage CEL for my MAF

edit- Anyone know if there is any documentation for this?

I wonder if you can delete the maf code with a flash. Kinda like you have to do to get rid of the others that come you get like the o2 sensor codes. Are your vdc, slip light still on? I talked to a guy at the dealership today he said if the maf goes out it is sometimes the vdc slip will stay on in some cases. I don't understand the some cases part, but that's what the tech told me.

That's a negative. I'm avoiding the whole reflash thing for now since it only turns the lights off. It won't pass emissions if it's scanned.

I just overnighted a MAF flange from Turbotim@SFR lol.. I need this fixed before Friday..

it looks like the MAF signal can be emulated to prevent cel

^ I think that was what was supposed to happen, but I don't think it works that way (yet).

From your other post on same topic: https://my350z.com/forum/tuning/4230...ge-to-maf.html

Haltech is setup to limit the MAF values, but is not currently setup to output a MAF value from nothing. What is happening that you describe as 'limp mode'? What year is your car, and is it auto or 6spd?

on a manual transmission car you CAN completely eliminate the factory MAF sensor - doing so WILL cause a CEL, which can only be eliminated through a re-flash. Do completely eliminate the MAF, you need to wire in the AIT sensor as well as use a MAP sensor.

This only works on manual transmission cars, does not work for auto's

I have my MAF plugged in but not in the charge pipe.

MAP and AIT are both good.

Getting a low voltage CEL from ECU.

I'm playing around with the the Haltech app right now. There's the MAF chart in the setup window and the MAF calibration screen. Is the MAF Calibration screen suppose to be "0" value?

Also what CEL code are you getting... what is the number (for example P9999) ?
