Default Need advise....

I'm asking this cause i respect your guys expertise. I have a strong knowlege of cars but i do admit turbo is not my ball game. Im a working class kind of guy. Im usually not this side of the oblivious and newb so im really hesitant in posting this but im ready for the drama. The only turbo knowledge i have is from searching and the DSM GST i individually overhauled for a friend. Just trust me. im all about quality. Im not some ricer punk trying to put an ebay kit for some pssh. And ive done my share of searching.

I got this thing about buying parts to motivate my progress. I bought my Pioneer AVIC Z before even knowing if i could get my Z. But i got cause i had nothing to put it into. I got my Amazing audio setup for my theatre room before my room even had floors. Now this is a little more then just music to my ears.

I know it is not going to be cheap. Im not trying to make it. But say i can get my hands on 2 gt25 garrett turbos and an intercooler for a steal. I say a damn good start for a tt setup. More specifically the ones from the 530BB JWT TT kit.

What am i getting my self into with this.
I think the only manifold i could use would be the JWT or garrett. Same with down pipe.
I know i would need EMS. I can affort a TurboXS.
Complete fuel system upgrade...

Now for now i dont want more then say 6psi just for some psshh or give some vettes or evo's a run for thier money. stock internal shall suit me now.

the small stuff
oil lines
coolent lines
vacuums
BOV
Guages
Oil pan spacer?

What am i missing
What am i looking at.

Since JWT kits are vendor install only, does that mean i cant purchase piece. Can i purchase pieces anyways.

Just out of curiousity, PM me a price that would be a good deal for these turbos so i know im even on a good idea.

If I were going with the GT25 turbos at around 6 psi, I would look at tuning your ECU using re-flash software, such as the Cob or UpRev Osiris software. Many people are having very good luck going this route on moderate builds.

Injected Performance is in Lexington, KY and Forged Performance is in Marietta, GA. Neither of these is that far from you. Give them a call.

So this isn't as crazy as I thought that everyone would think. Yeah any ems in an option as long as it's not haltech.

Can anybody finish the puzzle to any missing pieces in a turbo setup.

With these gt25s how specific of manifolds do I need. Any retailer or individual selling?

I appriciate the help and advise.

There's lots of little parts for the JWT kit. The manual is online on the jim wolf website. You may want to check it out and just order the parts you don't already have. It may not be that expensive for just some of the piping, oil lines, etc. Alternatively you could search through the classifieds on this site and g35driver.com.

Yes, ANYBODY can finish the puzzle. In other words, YOU CAN. The information is there waiting to be accessed. Just reach out and grab it.

I have slightly used (less than 8,000miles) GT-25s with manifolds and downpipes, and the split second box (piggy back ecu that JWT uses). All are from my Jim Wolf kit that I ended up upgrading. If your interested let me know. I think I might have the FMU sitting around still as well.

I priced out the Manifolds from JWT awhile ago and they were about $400/manifold, I never asked if I could buy them outright or if they had to be installed by the shop. I think they have JWT cast into them so they might be specific to that company.
