My Greddy TT Build, the build to prove you can make high #s without going broke...
I still am going to preach cams!!!!!!!!!!! Do'em now.
You are going to peak your power at 6250rpm and it will drop like a rock from there. Ask me how I know again....you will be able to make the power you want on less boost AND a safer tune with cams vs w/o.
If you are going this far, especially with people that have already been there, this is a no-brainer to me.

I'm sure jt has a pretty good idea of cost of ownership for one of these as he has been boosted for quite some time, and pushed the car hard enough that he accepted the fact that he may have a failure at any time. It's easy for me to say that though since I have known him for a while and I see how he drives the car, as Cass has attested to earlier.
As for long term, I have 24K on my built engine TT car in the past 13 months. Not the longest amount of time, but I'm sure I put more miles on my car than most in such a short amount of time. I beat on it constantly. I'm also halfway through my 3rd set of rear tires if that is any indicator. Of course, you could just ask Sharif about how I drive the car... sometimes sideways trying to merge onto the highway.
Not once has it failed to start, left me sit, or even missed a beat for that matter. It has never even given me a reason to question it's reliability at any time and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it right now and do a 2000 mile round trip, as I have a few times in this car as it sits.
I'm failing to see where all the extra cost of ownership of such a car is coming from. I change the oil every 5K miles, clean the air fliters every other oil change, swap the sparkplugs every 20k and the tires when they're bald. A little bit of extra time here and there during oil changes to inspect oil and coolant lines, and also the intercooler piping. Really it there isn't much more to it when it is built and tuned properly, here in my world anyhow.
Maybe I'm just numb to it from owning a DSM for the better part of a decade.

Probably the same as doug's to me. They're either lucky, or good. I don't know about being blessed though, as far as I thought, god only got involved in NASCAR racing.
It surely wouldn't be a response insinuating that I don't care about their point of view or experiences because they aren't part of this "majority." I take all posts as equal and something can be taken from all except those who are known to be unreliable.
At the same time the minority should not be silenced. How long ago was it that the ones who are running the most prolific shops in the country now, building and tuning cars, were part of that minority?

No, I already have an intank walbro with AAM's basic Fuel return system. I will be using a -6 an feed line straight off of the pump assembly and running it into a Bosch 044 inline pump and then up into the oem rails.

Well Cass was able to achieve 648whp I belive that was the # on Dave DD with the stock rails and single pump with meth. I think that the added pump will allow me greater head room in my power goals.
and his heads/cams cost well over half the entire allotted amount of money you have for your build.

You can get their on stock heads/cams obviously (me and need4boost have done it).
Stock rails I have no clue on though. I'd be a little concerned there, no clue what they'll flow. Most people upgrade to external rails pretty early on so no real data.

You used much larger turbos.....the 20Gs with stock breathing will be a challenge to extract 700whp.
