My Greddy TT Build, the build to prove you can make high #s without going broke...
I've got basically the same setup. I'm right at 20K miles on my build, at 500whp. I never had any major problems at all, nothing that kept me from driving. Just crank sensor issue, and had to replace an O2 sensor. I'm running stock heads and valvetrain on my 06 revup. My goal very soon is 600 wheel. I've got everything I need, just need time... It's been a while since I added the cost up ( i did a while back on "another" forum) But i'd estimate i'm still under 15K including EVERYTHING. Here's a short list of my build, just figured this is the right thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e9kcBvsPYc
CP pistons, 8.5:1 CR
Carillo Pro A rods
ACL race series bearings
HKS head gaskets
ARP main and L19 head studs
Greddy TT TD05-18G's
Godspeed type "H" intercooler
Open Dumps
JWT 300zx clutch (slips easily when hot.. was not a good choice for my power)
JWT Flywheel
Stock Cams and Heads
Borla TD (sold, building a 3" dual with megan canisters this weekend)
Single Walbro (have aam's bosch 044 pump and surge setup, making my own lines and changing it up a bit similar to what i think rrmedicx did)
AAM stage 1 return and rails with 750cc RC Injectors (changing the return line to -6AN, running -8AN feed)
K&N air filters
Utec (haltech paid for, on the way)
Stock wheels/suspension
I think thats most of the important stuff. Did the build alone.. well i had my girlfriend torque some bolts ;]
Well I made 482whp on a dynojet, 98 degree shop temp... not a good tune at all. Then I was at Corr Performance tuning the SR20DET 260z and threw my car on the Dyno Dynamics and made 430... I just wanted to check my wideband to theirs(because it was pegging out 10's and i thought it may be my wideband.. but it was the tune). Well I saw the fuel was terrible, and was allowed 2 runs so I tuned it a little and got 461 wheel out of it, so that should be over 500whp on a dynojet. I'm running 14psi and power is steadily climbing up top. I just stopped there because the 750cc injectors were at about 95% duty, so that's why I'm doing the bosch 044. Once I get the exhaust, fuel, and haltech, i want 600. Im going to build my heads as soon as I can, but I'm in college and ain't exactly rich.
Stock Tires/suspension i ran 11.86 @ 122mph, 1.8 60ft. Highest mph is 124. Borrowed some drag radials, but they were dry rotted 255 mt et streets and I ran almost exactly the same times.
Sorry for writing a book but I figured it would help this thread.

Yup, I used the AAM fuel system to up the fuel demands. So far so good. Also adding meth. Bigger #'s yet to come. Car is at Sound Performance right now getting re-tuned. We'll see results in next few days.

Haha well Cass since everyone was getting their harp on about me not having enough info or time into the build I've left it alone until I had something to update it with that wouldnt result in some complaining. Ha and no I havent gone broke. But it looks so far that I am on schedule to get the car done for motorama, but we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
Update:
The motor is @ IPP and assembly of the short block begins monday. Im expecting a call by the end of the week for a update on the motors status and time frame as to when it'll arrive back to me. The car is currently at my buddies shop being painted( getting rid of 3 years or scratches and dings), shaving the rear wiper, and having the front rad support and engine bay sprayed as well.
Some pics:
Painted engine bay

This shows the difference from the oem paint to the new paint

As for everything else:
The bosch 044 pump, dw 800cc injectors, and -6 fuel line and fittings have all arrived and awaiting my car to return next week from paint. The turbos are at blouch right now recieving a "custom" upgrade. I say "custom" because they chose that instead of using the regular 20g's they wanted to do something else. The new turbos will take the standard 18g turbo and port the compressor housing the stuff a billet gt30 wheel into the cold side, they are also going to port the exhaust side and fit a garret "stage 2" wheels to the exhaust side (I'm not sure about the exact specs but mike @ Blouch told me that the new upgrade turbos will be a 49 lb/per min. turbo compared to the current 18g which I believe is a 40 lb/min. turbo?) Im not 100% on all of the turbo specs and information. I will post more info on the turbos once I speak with Mike @ Blouch this coming week.
Thats all for now guys.

I'm sure he is, just as I was hoping to give Berto a run for his money in the Mid-A. Jon learned from my mistakes and may be able to best my results all the way around (performance and show quaility) while doing it faster and cheaper by a mile. He has had this planned for a while and has top notch DIY skills and several friends that can help on almost any part of a build project. I can't wait to see this come together.... I just hope I can still show him my tail lights when its all finished

Update:
The motor and turbos are back as of 5 minutes ago! Ill be getting some pics later tonight and have them up here by late tonight/early tomorrow.
Quick recap: The motor is a stage 1 shortblock from Import Part Pro, turbos have been upgraded by blouch turbo to 20g's (the original idea was swapped last minute because the billet wheels were still not finished from preliminary trials and look to be a month or two away still).
This weekend Ill be getting my hands dirty installing the new custom feed line & inline bosch pump along with wiring it up, as well as hopefully getting the heads assembled onto the block. Once they go on Im in a holding pattern until the front timing covers are back from powdercoat next week. So stay tuned and look for a few pics tonight or tomorrow.
