I'm a born skeptic and I do check where info like this is coming from. Then I am an informed consumer, yadah, yadah, yadah. Suggest more people do the same.

Does anyone have or have ordered a Vortec SC yet?
SportZ is having a supercharger and TT comparision test. The test is coming up in the middle of December. The article will appear in the spring edition of SportZmagazine.
We currently have an ATI SC car, Stillen SC car, NA car, and PE TT car scheduled to be tested.
To my knowledge, we do not have a Vortec SC car for this test. I think it would be a shame if we cant get one for this test. I know all of us want to see how all of these kits compare to each other in side by side testing.
If you are getting a Vortec SC kit, please contact me. Time is running out.

I gave the magazine information to the owner of the black car that was on the video. I think he will go for it. We have not shipped any other systems yet, so nobody else has one to enter in the article. We are shipping next week! I wanted to get another vid of the black car making a run by me, but the car left. I will try to get another in the future.

Steve, is this owner aware of the timeline for testing? Dave @ SportZ needs lead time to adjust for him to enter his car. I dont know how long we can delay knowing if this car will enter before it is too late. If at all possible, try to get the owner to decide soon.

OK, we have a Vortech player in the shootout. I just found out that the dyno session will be at Stillen, which I am not to crazy about. I am sure they will be 100% professional (they do buy blowers from us), but I thought it would be at a third-party shop. O well. On another note, here is the boost graph you all wanted. I cut the HP and TQ off the top, so you can only see the boost.
You can see that the boost is on the RIGHT side and at 2500 RPM, the boost is at 2 psi.

1. So is it set with Dave at SportZ and we got a Vortec 350Z booked for the Dec testing date?
2. Just wondering, why did you cut the hp/torque off the dyno you posted?
Thanks,

Steve, it will be interesting to see the entire dyno and also see the variation between that dyno and the Stillen dyno next month.
I know there will be a difference due to a different 350Z and as we all know, their hp output from the factory varies up to 20hp. In adtion the dynos vary in how they measure hp thus it will cause a variation as well. The more dyno sheets we see of the same set up, the more we know what to expect out of the kit.

Here it is. I don't want to get into the dyno war again, so if this is the first time seeing a Vortech dynograph, please read this whole thread from the start where we talk about the differences between our Eddie Current and a DynoJet. Thanks.

For those of you that are still confused on the dyno sheet, just remember that we should soon have a dyno of a Vortech via the SportZ test in December. Bottom line is this kit puts out good numbers and has a timing retardation set up to maintain adequate fuel mixture in the upper rpms which is VERY important.
I want to comend Vortech for integrating this set up PRIOR to releasing their kit. Nice to see you guys doing your homework rather than having customers doing your R&D on thier cars (at their expense) for you.

Well everyone, Steve from Vortech told us we got a Vortech SC 350Z for the test and Dave at SportZ just e-mailed me and confirmed they alloted a space for it to be in the test. We will have a dyno, autoX, and 1/4 comparision test of the ATI, Stillen, and Vortech SC 350Z's in less than a month. Finally, what I have been pushing to have done will become a reality. As a potiential consumer for a FI for my 350Z, this is great news.

That IS good news to hear. It would be even better news if the DreamWorkes kit was involved as well. Just to see if it really kills the Stillen and might be able to stay up with the Vortech/ATI
