There are only a couple of major ground points - on the frame rail, on the timing cover, in the battery compartment, by the ECU, under the gauge cluster. Check the throttle body harness and MAF harness - fully plugged in and nothing pinched? Do you have a 6MT or 5AT (sorry didn't go all the way through the thread). Usually the U1000 CAN codes come along with something else...

thanks for the tips.. i think the harness that goes to the MAF is pinched, because it's facing down.

got 5AT.

i've searched the forum for similar problem, but no luck..

i just need this fixed, and then i can have the car tuned to see if there's any progress.

For Evos, you got someone called Rami.. bashar is learning from him.

Rami is known in the Evo scene. he's a great guy, and a great tuner.

for Haltech, you got Ebrahim Alga6an. he tuned lots of FI'ed 350z.

for Uprev/Osiris, you got Julan from PM-Dyno (i think he's in alkhobar). he tuned stock 350z's.. my car is the first FI'ed 350z he's tuning. so, that's another option for you.

that's a description of the problem..

hesitation, stalling or the engine holding a lower than normal RPM. For me, I was cruising at about 45 MPH, the engine dropped to about 500 RPMs, began shuddering, and the SES light came on. The engine did not respond to the gas pedal and at about 15 MPH it stalled. I got over to the shoulder and tried to restart but it did nothing. It was like when you try to start with a completely dead battery; no sound. But I had full electrical power since the lights/radio/air was on. 5 minutes later, it started back up as if nothing had happened. Check Engine light remained on.

Double check your ECU connectors...i had the same thing on a 350Z on our dyno and it ended up being the connector was slighly cocked...it was still clipped in and the latch was secure..but it was hanging up on itself near the edge...if that makes any sense...lol

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor??

if so, i'm not sure.. really, i can't tell what could be the cause of this. but i've noticed it happen on extreme hot weather conditions. it happend when we were tuning at WOT on a hot day (120F), and it happened again after cruising for a while and temp was about 112F.

so i'm not sure what's causing it.

We ended up checking the ecu and u could see a slight gap near the end...very slight...undid the connection...checked all the pins and when we relatched the connector we ended up just pushing a lil harder to make sure it was seated...and that seemed to solve our issue...
