Anybody else blown multiple OEM oil pressure sensors.
Im about to be on number 3.
Is there any aftermarket OEM replacements? Or another remedy to fix this?
Its a 04 Performance, only about 45000 miles, with a modified TN kit.
And Im getting sick of having to replace these things.
Thanks

Make sure you're not over tightening them. I got mine from the local Nissan dealer a couple years back with no problems yet. Where are you getting them from?

High pressure spikes can cause a problem with the diaphragm I suppose. What oil pressure do you normally run? For my water pressure sensor which runs near 200 psi I had to run a pressure snubber, which provides more gentle changes to the diaphragm.

You need to get one that matches the fluid viscosity (oil vs water basically).

I figured one hard boost spike and the sensor cant handle it.

I believe Raj was refering to an oil pressure spike. I've never heard anyone blowing an OPS from an oil pressure spike, but it is possible. But because you have had multiple replacements, I doubt its from spikes.

Some sort of pressure issue. When the sensor is reading correctly the numbers are normal.
