Default Smoking like crazy on deceleration

The car's smoking like a chimney when in gear, but foot off the gas, decelerating. If I take it out of gear or push the clutch in, no smoke. No smoke in any other condition but as described. Oil is being burned at a large rate when I don't intentionally drive without ever letting the car decelerate in any gear....
TIA

built and tt'd

I have a catch can. It's pretty empty. The PCV would be causing the extreme oil burn?
I still have normal power but I have been staying out of boost.
Custom TT kit based on greddy

not sure if this applies to you with a custom kit, but make sure your oil drain lines aren't kinked or otherwise somehow preventing oil from flowing back to the oil pan. that could be causing some smoking on decel for you.

Where is your PCV tied into the intake system? Before or after the turbo? I plumbed mine into the charge pipe just before the throttle body one time - bad idea. Smoked like crazy. Its now on the intake of one of the turbos and it is much better!

How's the car running? My car was doing that too once and it turned out to be cracked ring lands on 2 pistons, but that was a different car and motor. Any other symptoms or abnormal things happening?

As others mentioned it could also be your turbo seals and/or a blocked or uphill path on an oil return from your turbos. I've seen this happen on grossly overfilled oil once, but it also ended up in blown turbo seals.

like said already, start with making sure oil is draining out of turbos and verify you catch can setup is plumbed properly.

Before I address this quote, I want to say I have never overfilled with oil (another comment)

The car is running great, no issues other than the normal slight blips in power because I'm running way more power than my engine management is really built for.
Car runs 100% like normal except when I'm in gear, off the throttle. I so much as push the clutch in or take it out of gear, or accelerate...no smoke.

Thanks to all so far

Check and check.

Car's going into the shop for a complete tear apart and rebuild this Saturday.
