So I know this thread hasn't been bumped in a year, but I'm curious about the revup EVT functionality. Any updates?

Sucks to hear that, but it seems that may be the only way to get reliable timing on both sets of cams.

Have Revup and my EVT is working, was a lot of to and from to get it to work, I don't have the ins and outs of it but wasn't easy but now its been working great

Anyone with a red Haltech sitting on this document somewhere? The original URL has stopped working and don't seem to find the one I saved off

So I just spent the last 2 hrs reading this from start to finish. I really have been thinking of going with the full standalone. I'm not a tuner AT ALL! But I'm doing everything in my power to learn and understand this. I'm running Osiris now but What is going on with the EVT? Is this a issues on the rev-up? Can you pass odb2 inspection? Im in NJ and they are *******!!!! Even have cameras you drive over to see what's under the car. ( cats ). Idk I have ways of getting inspection I'm really not worry about that. I'm concerned with the issues I'm reading about with the EVT. Anyone elaborate more?

As far as I know the Haltech can control the exhaust cams just fine in a rev up using the latest firmware. You can contact Hal @ Dynosty for confirmation. You will not regret the full standalone. The engine protection and flexibility of the numerous 2D maps is amazing.

A few of the more unique capabilities vs UpRev: ignition retard based on wheel slip vs MAP and VDC status (more traction control with VDC on), target boost by gear and rpm and fuel composition (E85 vs 93 octane), vacuum actuated exhaust cuts outs controlled by throttle and MAP, shift light blink frequency based on approach to rev limit, anti-lag launch activation with clutch fully depressed and mph < 2 and throttle > 50%, fuel compensation if differential pressure drops during boost, many "safe mode" triggers, such as lean tip in, injector fuel differential pressure drop, high oil temp, etc.

You can download the software for free and play with the base map to get a better idea.

Anybody have issues with ECU to laptop connection? I haven't had my laptop connected to the Haltech (old red box) for well over a year...needed to look at some A/F data, and I get the "ECU could not be found" error. I had the 1.6 firmware version, but it all worked last time I needed it.

So I went on the Haltech website, downloaded all the latest firmware, and still get the same error. The ECU is just not being detected.

Checked the USB cable, and I have good continuity on all leads. Took the Haltech apart as well to check the USB connection port on the board, and all is good.

This is the most active Haltech thread here, so I thought I ask.

I have had trouble with certain cables and when using a hub. If a second cable does not work then you may have to send in.

make sure windows is recognizing the haltech when you plug in and go to hardware manager to verify. Possible that a windows update screwed something up.

what windows are you using?

Thanks for the tips gentlemen....ended up getting another laptop, downloaded software V 1.13.5, and it worked on only one of the USB ports (out of 3).

My firmware on the ECU is still 1.06, and it doesn't look like it wants to take the update.

I would try your best to update. Haltech had some serious bug fixes along the way

Guys I need help on how to run multiple maps on haltech pro plug in harness. I know the ecu it self don't have this feature.

So my question is their any external product I can add to run multiple maps on fly for haltech?

Say I want to run map 1 : 15 psi , map2: 19psi , map 24+ psi on c16. Is it possible? Without going back to my laptop to load the map

Thanks

Not really

you can use haltech to control boost and a trim pot to limit its output to the WG
it can detect E85 and adjust for that, but c16 not really.
