OK I have the Haltech 350z Platinum Pro and a turbo. I'm trying to brake boost but seems the ECU is limiting the opening of the TB if I have my foot on the brake and will not build boost. Is there anyway the Haltech can disable this "feature" of the car so I can brake boost? Is there anything I can do besides going to cable TB?

Ive been really disapointed with the EVT control. Haltech stated that they never even tested the new box on a revup motor.

Im removing EVT side of things on my car but it sucks for anyone with a revup that wants to keep them.

thats weird the evt control in the harness unit works just fine. Is it the settings on the new unit? Ill def want working EVT as its good for top end power.

Yeah it has all the settings but just doesnt work like the harness one did. I thought it was just my car at first until i tried it a couple other revup cars and they have all been the same. It could be something im doing but I dont see what it is at the moment and Haltech has chose to ignore the problem from what I can tell since i never hear back on questions i ask about the EVT control.

Duh. I feel stupid.

So, if you have a rev up with the plug and play haltech, then since the original ECU is no longer there, does that mean your EVT is not controlled at all?

no, the Haltech has EVT control built into it, he is just saying its not good and had issues of some sort.

I dont see how the evt system woudl be messed up, unless the settings are not right.

In exhaust cam settings there is frequency, steady state duty cycle, min duty, max duity, deadband, operating temp.

with the old harness unit those setting are not there at all you just hook up the evt cam sensor and actuator and it runs w.e you got in the ecam map.

It does control it, it is just very erratic. I have not been able to find settings that work.

Yes, cut the brake signal going to the stock ecu

Two boxes with three different cars with stock, JWT S7r and JWT C8r cams.

I thought I had a problem with the magnet retarders in my car so I replaced both banks but it as still erratic. Put my old Vpro/stock ecu combo back in the car and it works perfect.

Noticed something similar with my intake timing. When graphing inlet cam angle target vs actual it would oscillate on one bank which caused erratic timing. Replaced the vvt solenoid and problem was resolved.

PS: Noticed u tested on other cars. Therefore my post is probably a waste of space
