If this is for MT only, and the current unit is for MT or AT, and the current unit is going away.

no more Haltech for A/T??? ill assume something is in the works

Also, still wondering bout OBD2, even with the s2000 ecu dont say anything about it.

Is it just a big assumption that these ecu replacements can pass obd2? They have to tho! If not who would run it other the in a dedicated track car?

Any light on this?

This would clean up my install so much since I still have no place to mount the original Haltech.

Any exchange program?
Does it have connectors for the Haltech widebands right on the ecu or does it need the can expansion box?
AIT sensor?
Boost controller?

this is good news as there are alot of haltech dealers and their ECU manager is nice and straight forward.

price is goood to esp since you dont need a special tuning cable or external gauges. Just swap out the box and keep all your original haltech sensors. I imagine haltechs are going to start selling for utec prices

I assume you'lll be able to keep cruise control and traction control when the haltech takes over the DBW functions?

It has inputs and outputs on the ECU itself, no need for CAN expansion unless going over the 4 inputs and 4 outputs. This is enough for dual wideband inputs, additional air temp and boost controller with room to spare - yes.

Can we get confirmed on OBD2??? Kinda weird its not mentioned at all.

edit: its a HUGE selling point. If it can pass obd2 and maybe edit it some too then this will be CRAZY for SWAPPED CARS

It does have OBD2 support for CEL codes, with larger tolerances than factory. The readiness tests can show Ready, Not Ready, or Not Applicable. The 350Z box will show Not Applicable for all tests due to legal reasons of faking 'Ready' status.

NO, it will not pass. I know for a fact that in NJ if your catalyst says not applicable you will fail automatically.

Great news Hal (for the 6MT owners anyway). Looks like a great box. ^ Guys I would take the OBD discussion offline for details. Clearly it has the ability and flexibility...

Why take OBD talk offline? Its VERY important, and long as its not "falsifying" ready monitors then it should be legal.

Not really clear at all.... Finally got some specifics on what it actually done to the obd2 monitors. And just making them all Not applicable might not even do the trick of passing.

Lets just see how it plays out as people across the country get these units and need their car inspected.

Reading over this again, it seems that if one wanted to. they could set them to ready.

But the unit just ships with the set all to Not applicable.

Best i can come with up at this time.

Id love to get my hands on a unit, or even just a Base Map for it!

Hal can you email me a basemap?
