Yes, the hardware is in place for two complete 'profiles' consisting of every map and settings, that can be changed via an external switch. This is not active in our test units, but will be activated in future update.

you guys are nuts if you think this will pass obdII reasiness test. any "legit" shop that sees all readinesss monitors NA will never pass your car.

this is not a concern for most states, but i would seriously call Hal and get a guarantee its not an issue before swapping EMS's.

otherwise, game on!

What is working now and whats not?

Haltech history is not good when it comes to "coming soon in a future update"

midz- everything listed in the original post is active currently unless otherwise noted.

mi35th- no mac support. If you want to try the PC emulators you may be able to make it work - I am not sure.

Would be cool if you could switch maps with cruise control like osiris.

Q's:

* Any cruise control functionality?

* Works with stock widebands or do you have to swap out with something else?

You can dual boot a mac with windows 7. Or run windows inside virtualbox. Haltech isn't going to spend thousands of hours porting and maintaining a mac clone of their software when you can run windows on your mac for free (+ the cost of windows CD if you don't have a install disk). No excuses mac people LOL!!

I run Haltech ECU manager on my Mac with BootCamp and Windows XP. Works fine.

considering Haltech doesnt even have it listed on their website, I imagine no time soon. They showed their I/O box at SEMA in 2010 and it wasnt on the street til late 2011.

weird its already available for the 300zx and Patrol though.

I am a software engineer/developer and I would like to take up this project you have binder. Sounds like it would be a good idea. Let's chat offline about it if you're serious.

If you go forward with this, post up a thread to keep people informed.

There are some very powerful phones out there and tons of people who own them.

on that same note, stock traction control (vdc) would also be gone as well.

more info on all the CAN channels would be sweet.

I think the VDC is controlled by a separate box under the steering wheel? Too bad the CAN I/O between the stock ECU and 5AT TCM cannot be reproduced. Not big enough market I guess. Ah well, I'm happy with what I've got with the PNP and CAN I/O Box... If E85 was prevalent around here, I'd be considering how to make this work!
