I bought my car in 2008 with 28K miles on it. It was daily driven car until I start modifying it, Nismo exhaust was my first mod , then lowering springs, wheels, side skirts, front and rear bumper after it I realized It's addiction. Today, after 5 years working on my car on the driveway I can't believe how much I learned and achieved. Thank you for this bank of knowledge (my350z.com) and all people I know who helped me anyhow to achieve my goals.
please stop with the ricer logic. qualifying your engines longevity based on boost is ignorant. Trq breaks motors, not boost. 12psi will not produce 400++wtrq on a vortech.

How's it ricer logic? I thought boost power and torque all relevant. I saw engines with 412Whp/350tq and 12PSI blowing. Of course I don't know exact what cause it to blow but with your logic it should happened.

completely stock motors let go all the time. way to many things to factor in other then boost. there are people on this forum making wellllll over your numbers and 400wtq on stock blocks that are still strong. and others with less power that are blown. if you would have searched u would have seen the hundreds of vortech owners running the small pulley on stock blocks with no issue.
why did u make this thread? any information you may need or are looking for has been covered 1023208343843843483948 times.. go search and or google.
I don't know, maybe to grow some confidence or maybe because that's what people do here on the forum, shearing info. Why you post your thread?
I am deciding right now which road to go, buy some headers, which I believe will help me to lower a boost but gain more power along with 2.78 pulley and build engine next year, or build engine and go twins aiming 550whp. I read that you can get 500whp with Vortech SC, but I have to deal with belt issues and upgrading a blower.
Also I don't have tons of money to spend that's why everything you see on my car I did my self, otherwise I would never afford it.

Thank you, I saw those threads, I have single pulley GTM mode as right now. I didn't worry to much about belt slippage because my numbers are very low. I am amazed how far you get with your stock internals on DE. I heard all those stories that DE has very weak internals, that's why I stayed with 3.33, but looking at your numbers I want go further.
Alright, I made a decision. As for right now I am putting headers and going with 2.87 pulley, dyno sheet will post soon. Alongside I am building another short block over the winter and hopefully next summer I will upgrade my blower to SI trim and try to reach 500whp. Going turbo will be way too much money.
I have one question tho, what belt size I need to run with 2.87 pulley, I found some part numbers on a forum but nothing could find on NAPAs website.
Also updated mods list with parts i forgot to mention
