Only reason Boost read 16 was because setting in the Log. It's more like 18-19psi

Added myself as well, it will hopefully catch up to unvmyg35 with more timing.

Jeez I'm not happy with my numbers but the car performs great, I was running only 15° to 13° top end adv timing in the original tune for 467whp. I should be running about about 20° upon retuning once I get some dynotime to see where I'm at. If I want more power I guess I'll finally drop down to the 2.87...

please dyno tune (as opposed to street tune) your tuning...cannot stand people who think street tuning timing is a good idea!!

Would love to see your ign table on e85 and your output!

Most of my learning of tuning was done with street tuning, because it's free. And when I do I log my runs and make small, not drastic changes to timing once fuel tables are ok. So yes I agree, but street tuning is not as bad unless you do it right. Dyno tuning is preferred I agree so u can see how ur changes effect power output. I have dynotime in Dec so I will see where I am at.

Nothing wrong with street tuning as it is real world conditions vs sitting stationary on a dyno. My car don't run bad.

Street tune timing? ehhhhh...I respect your experience and input on this forum but how do you know it's optimized and within tolerance to MBT?

Thanks,

Because I tuned it. and my numbers speak for them self.

When tuning you bump it up 1/2* at a time, If you get any detonation or ping you back it off in that area.

I was getting some ping at WOT when I'd shift. this would have never show up on a dyno. How would you see this on a dyno?

Their are different conditions on the street that will never happen on a dyno.

At the Drag Strip, I'd advance the timing 1/2* at a time up until the MPH stops improving. This is the Point of MBT.

How would you know that on a dyno

to respect the topic & integrity of this thread I've moved the discussion to Meatbags ign timing thread ... incase it's not apparent - I hope this is more of a discussion than an argument - I'm not arguing with anyone ... I'd love to hear both sides.

I hope you don't think I was arguing with you, I was just telling you my process for tuning.
