Procharged G35
So, i manged to get the heads off the motor expecting to see some bad gouges on the walls. My local Nissan dealership said there was scratches on the walls and that is why it was smoking so bad and replaced it for me. But i didn't see or feel any scratches when i look and felt them. I can still see all the cross honing marks which i s a good sign i think.

Nope, still setting in the garage on jackstands, and she will probably stay like that until Tax time or possibly longer as i could be deploying again next year :-(
Dang that sucks.
I got mine on the dyno last weekend. It's making 9psi on the 7psi pulleys I'm revving to 8k. On my break in tune it made 397/300 only running 22-20* of timing. But I think my 750s are gonna be too small im hitting 91% Idc And my 14psi pulleys will be here tomorrow.

Damn i had pleanty of room left with my 750s I only hit 64% and 4.3V on my modded MAF at 6600 at ~12Psi.

Well finally got off my *** and finished tearing the motor apart.


When I pulled out the #1 piston one that was low on compression the top two ring gaps were right on top of each other, I don't know if it happened while we was pulling it out or what not but that can't be good right? All of the bearings look to be good, and I still cant find any scratches on the cylinder walls.
Still not sure what the route I'm going to go with the motor is.

I have no idea what im going to do, im torn between buying a short blow and rebuiling it my self.A few friends are telling me its easy to rebuild but im very torn.
Buying a built block doesn't come with much of a guarantee (If any at all)
You seem to make some wicked progress at the beginning of your build.
It's easy for me to say, but If I had your skills I would try building it yourself.

Took the Block to the machine shop to clean it up and get the Line block hone, so I can see what bearings I will need. If all goes well I may be able to start building my block in a few months.
I've been doing some math and with a fluid dampner, a 7000 rev limiter, and my 42/24 cogs i will over spin the procharger by a lot 80K is the limit and ill spin it to 90715... I don't think i want to push it that much.
