I've thought about it. Something I will change as it goes. Just had a new oem clutch put in 3,000 miles ago. So might as well use it. Hopefully it will hold for a good time. I want a daily driven clutch and flywheel. It's funny riding in my friends evo after his aftermarket clutch and flywheel. Clunk.. Clunk ... Clunk. Catch lol

my original oem stock clutch/flywheel. with 76k miles held 494whp/444tq @10psi for 30k miles and is still holding great. you should be good with that new clutch as long as you're not dumping it all the time.

Okay guys. My goal for the day is to clock the turbo to the right direction. Mount the turbo, run the exhaust all the way back from the turbo. Start figuring out how the intercooler will be mounted. Possibly mount the intercooler

Got the turbo clocked and mounted for good. Took a while to mount as it had to be clocked perfectly to clear either side. It's a tighter fit than I imagined. Haven't been able to get much work done because of finals and work. Z has been feeling neglected and I will hopefully get a night where I can just wrench on it for 6 hours and get the rest done in one day.

You can grab an oil pan spacer that has the oil feed and return ports pre tapped also. I have one..

What kind do you have? Does somebody make one that is the whole pan that has the holes pre tapped rather than just a spacer?

No, but you (obviously) need to give your turbo a port to drain back into the oil pan.

I highly doubt you can get feed oil off the oil pan, just return.

you can run the oil feed from where the oil pressure sensor is with a "T". and use the oil pan spacer with pre-threaded ports from JWT, Z1, etc. for the oil return line. so you don't have to drill into your upper oil pan.

If I went back and did mine over I would have drilled into my upper oil pan and saved myself the $100. (or whatever it cost)

It's worth mentioning that oil from this port is unfiltered.

Phunk mentioned another port just above that one that taps the filtered side of the oil system. See: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...l#post10465034

Turbos do not like dirty oil, and it's worth the time/effort to tap a filtered supply. It always surprised me how many turbo failures I heard about on Z33s until I realized that they're almost all supplying the turbo with unfiltered oil.

This is the sort of post you hold onto until April 1st, then watch the haters come in and make idiots of themselves.

From that filtered port, you can run a 90 degree fitting to your oil line so it doesn't interfere with the belts.

Food for thought. Not EVERYONE has blown turbos.
And also food for thought, how many people have spun bearings? How many people don't change their oil as often as they should, especially on a turbo Z?
