Budget Single Turbo Build! High mileage
Just got a call from them. They said there was a few minor things they needed to tweak which I was expecting. They charge $100 an hour for labor 400 for the tune and 200 for the uprev license.
The guy who would be doing the tuning was the guy I talked to and sounded very reassuring that all would be good. He didn't even mention the high mileage or godspeed piping parts. He just said he would have it base mapped and running as soon as the fix the minor things. Apparently I put the wastegate on backwards? LOL. Btw I'm only 18 and this is my first big build on a car so I was expecting to miss some things. It's a learning experience for me
Tuner just called and said he had it on the dyno and everything was right where it should be for a stock motor. He had it at low boost which was 6 pounds and he said it quit making power at 5500rpm so he had to order an uprev maf. Was not expecting that. Another $400 added on. Very excited though. Looks like he thinks it can handle more power than I thought.
Perhaps he's trying to push the sale on me because they're a distributor of uprev? I have no problem spending the money, but if it's unneeded I'll be pissed

I have a nismo cat back. No catylitic. I guess the stock Maf is good for anywhere from 350-400whp. I'm just surprised it's making that much power on low boost.
I will post some of the pictures of the car finished tonight or tomorrow. I also have a video of the first start with the bigger r35 injectors. Pretty much it runs enough to drive on a trailer. No more than that lol. Should have the car back fully dynoed Saturday. Not sure if I mentioned that already. I'll will post pics and videos. I will also give a review type thing that day as I have to drive it back 150 miles. So I should get a good feel for the new power.
Got to talk to the tuner on Facebook. It made just at 300whp at 5krpm before he let off do to pegging the maf and going lean. He thinks it will be in the 350 range on a mustang dyno which reads 10% low (correct me if I'm wrong) so 385ish. With new maf**
