I’m definitely fortunate to have a very easy supply of E85 around here. Although the upgraded fuel system cost kinda ruined it.

The larger fuel system price is a pain but if your serious about power with a "cheap" fuel E is the only way to go.

Definitely a great cheap racing fuel. I love it because it gives so much more breathing space on the 11:1.

So would I be ok running 11:1 on my twin turbo setup? I found a pair of rods and pistons for fairly cheap but it only comes in 8.8:1 or 11:1 it's a really good deal but I don't know if 11:1 is too high or still ok

damn! feast or famine!

Just my opinion - those two choices are too far on either side and I would continue to look.

+1, if adding watermeth or higher octane is an issue then I'd just search around for like a 9.5:1.

Hey everyone a huge update (sorry it took so long). I decided to go a different route after my vq spun a bearing. I am still doing a twin turbo build, however i chose to go the "LS" route. Picked up a 5.3 l59 from a junkyard. in a couple weeks i will be ordering the majority of the necessary parts including but not limited to the holley terminator X system, ISR motor mounts and trans brace, wahlboro 520 pump, an crap load of braided stainless lines and corresponding fittings to makeup fuel return system, power steering lines, etc. , Sikky clutch master cylinder 1000cc injectors, Collins adapter (ls to cd009), and a few other things. Here is also a picture dump of the carnage and tear down.

She's out

Thats not supposed to have a hole

dropped the oil pan and this **** came out

prepping for the LS

This block might be salvage

**** the crank bolt
