Default Bose Head UNIT users: please sound off!

I'm trying to get idea how many of you all are using the Bose head unit and what sort of problems you have encountered. I'm having a problem with the left side not playing during a cd: tape and radio are good?????

thanx, for your support....

my first one skipped when it was cold, and now my second one is dropping the left speakers when in cd mode. i am getting my third this week.

i asked the service manager, and he said that they are referbished units, because they don't give out new one's.

pretty crappy for a $40K car.

When the left speaker cuts out hitting the side
of the unit by the knee pad Fonzie style usually works
As said previously, dealers replace with refurbished units
that still have the problem as it's an intermitant fault.
Im not even going to bother trying to get it replaced

Had it replaced once due to the CD Player not working, but the radio was fine. Now, my speakers cut in and out only during CD play, but is fine when the radio is on.

problem I have is when the settings reset, but still say +5 +5 but sound like +0 +0

soon as you put the bass and treble on 0 then back to 5 it sounds good again.

I had my Bose head unit replaxced because of skipping. It's been ok now. My girlfriend has a Mazda6 with the Bose system. The Mazda system sounds so much better than the one in our 350Z.I plan to replacde everything soon.

Mine kept cutting out during cold weather. It was replaced under warranty and now that one has crapped out. Last weekend the CD player jammed up and I'm waiting for a replacement.

My left speaker will cut out on CD, Radio and FM channels when i watch a movie. As soon as i take a hard right it comes back. Indicating a possible loose wire. I don't think i'll bother replacing but its irritating. I can't believe Bose would want their name on that, hearing how it sounds. Geez bad marketing/advertising. Now if i ever get a car and it has Bose in it. I'll pass.

Amp my buddy has an 05 G35 coupe and if you listen to the radio or cd adjust your treble and bass to the level of your liking. Then wait for the screen to go back to the name of the station or song. Turn off the car without messing with the radio. Now turn it back on and then go to the bass and even if the bass says +5 hit the up arrow to increase it and you should notice the bass more. Same goes for Treble. Thats some wierd **** with our Bose units.
