I told KINETIX about the coolant block long ago. I removed mine months ago. It does nothing. I just took off the block and removed the straight fitting and used it to connect the two hoses away from the plenum. No issues since.

If you can, change the title of this thread.

The oil catch-can in question is meant for trapping and accumulating oil vapor from the crank case, which is otherwise recycled and vented back into the intake tube before the throttle body. It is not uncommon to find engine oil accumulate inside the intake tract after many miles. Heavy duty use of the engine (high temp, high rev.) tends to accelerate this process; again this is a normal occurance.

The oil catch can is of more interest to to the FI folks because excess oil vapor in the combustion chamber could lead to pre-ignition and/or detonation as they are typically on the virge of air-fuel stability (from boost and heat). Little is realized w. this mod for NA use, as modern engines are commonly designed with some engine oil ingestion in mind. It wouldn't hurt to have one (for NA), however.
